It has been mentioned in the media a little bit - just not as much as the Collingwood - West Coast one.
In fact the AFL have now admitted that it was an incorrect call, but the Phillips one was correct.

Yes - I'm wondering why the Paddy Ryder and Jake Stringer stories aren't on the front page with Club Logos front and centre.

I'm sure I've heard Michael Voss tell that story and it was the other way around ie. that was what Brett said to him; and I don;t think it was for a kick to win the game either.

Re: Just F*** Off Umpire
Did anyone else early in the match North did a kick in from a point that barely went 10 metres let alone 15 - again nothing from the umpire.

Re: Just F*** Off Umpire
In the third quarter I think we had the kick about 55 metres out and a North player ran across the mark - just totally ignored by the umpire. How can it be a block against Hickey - surely he doesn't have to get out of Goldsteins way - Hickey is in the correct position and Goldstein jumps all over hi...

Re: Billy's nose !!
I thought Longer was hard done by yesterday. Almost every boundary throw in he was grabbed by Gawn and not one free kick that I can remember - he got one in the middle once I think. I thought that at the boundary throw ins no contact was allowed until the umpire threw it in. Or has that rule changed...

Moorabbin - Trouble Ahead
Anyone else hear the bloke ring up John Faine this morning complaining about how Government money being used to help the rebuilding of Moorabbin is basically to support the building of a pokies venue? I forget his name but apparently he is a paid up supporter and well known for his objection to poke...

I didn't think he did much but was surprised to see he got 96 supercoach points! - not the be all and end all I know but he must have done more than I saw - certainly a few worse then him.

Re: Saints who have left to win flags
The figures don't look so bad if you take the % of total players used. So St.K 1573 Players (if we use 19) then that is %1.207 (or %1.271 if it is 20 ) of St.K players have gone on to premierships at other clubs. Carlton 1156 Players = %1.211 Collingwood 1118 = 1.431 Geelong 1048 = 1.622 Melbourne 1...

Yes - I think it must be - just checked. Collingwood 1958 Don Howell didn't play.
Carlton 1914 Jack Wells did not play.
Richmond 1920 Bill Mahoney did not play.

All of the players listed played at St.Kilda before going to another club and playing in a premiership.

I got down to the 8 gamers and thought that was far enough!
So maybe there is more than 20 or one of the others didn't play in the GF.

Presumably the 20 players come from the following. I'm not sure they al played in the Winning GF but they were at the club. Ben McEvoy St,K 2008-2013 91 Games Haw 2014 13 Games Premiers this year. Luke Ball St.K 2003-2009 142 Coll 2010-2014 81 Premiers in 2010 Barry Hall St.K 1996-2001 88 Syd 2002-2...

I don't think Cazaly is one - played for us and then South Melbourne from 1921 to 1927. South won their first in 1933.

Re: Backward over the head handball
Once upon a time the hand holding the ball had to be stationary - the over the head was always a throw. This is one of the blights on the modern game (In my opinion) there are som many "handballs" that a few years would have been called a throw; it has almost got to the point that unless i...

Re: McGuire tried to snare Roo
Could be a ploy by Eddie. Make us think he is after Roo when really they want someone else, we spend time making sure they don't get him and lose focus on someone else. Would they really want someone over 30 with a bit of a suspect knee?

Re: Possible trade
Not sure about who to trade I think we should make the most of our early picks. What I would like to see maybe is if Lee holds up as a decent forward - which is why he was recruited. Give Nick a turn at CHB. That should give him a bit more longevity rather than getting crunched in the forward line a...

Re: Go on defend that umpiring
For what it's worth I was at the gane and was as angry as anyone during the game. I watched the game again next day and I thought on reflection the umpiring wasn't as bad as I thought. The decision against Saad was a bad one, the in the back to Priddis was very iffy, the free kick to Hurn when he dr...
