Article on Crisp: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/everybody-wants-to-know-bushranger-jack/story-fnau1fjg-1226191970536 Crisp has that steely resolve and 'the look in his eyes' of a kid that could play 200 games if his body lets him. If character is anything to go by, then this kid might be ab...

...........My guess is will will miss him as we havent really got anyone to replace him. My guess is that Wilkes is a like for like replacement with Dawson. The reason Pelchen and the club recruited Wilkes was to fill the hole for a year or two. You can pin your hat on a couple of finals if you lik...

... April premiers dont get silverware The momentum that a second Premiership will give the St Kilda Football club is far more important than early season wins next year or any year. The players know that it is finals success that counts for everything, and have surely been through enough pressure ...

One of the players he most admires is our very own captain...and he said that Roo is a great leader as well as a great player.

I didnt know that because the players were tired they choked when kicking for goal because it seems to me that was the reason we lost and not because players were mentally fatigued. Is it that simple? Why then did we just scrape through and how did the Dogs get so close when we beat them convincing...

my take I believe: - Ross Lyon did a good job for most of his time but f***ed up prior to the 2010 final series and continued to f*** up throughout the rest of his tenur. [/b ]His tactics in the replayed grand final were difficult to accept. , and he was not a clear upgrade from Grant Thomas. Far f...

i agree on the lack of 'resting/rotating players after top 2 was sealed. .an opportunity to create from a position of strength , missed. .... that in itself , became a polarised discussion on SS the rotators verses the don't flirt with formers. Meh. Whats obvious to some is double dutch to others. ...

IMO Lyon was an astute coach and tactician had a plan that absolutely deserved a premiership. Luck robbed him and us, as it does sometimes. I also believe his personal issues were valid reasons for his departure. He was a breath of fresh air for a while. Hardened us up. Made us real. However his ap...

Why would we risk planning our forward strategies around a guy that everyone knows is not only high risk as far as being physically fit enough, but also whose personal life could implode at any time??? I believe that with the stress around the delisting from the Lions, the bad publicity, the gamblin...

I loved the idea and thoughts from one of the posts discussing the likely replacements for Zac, and the comparison of Rhys Stanley with Fraser Gherig. The post mentioned that early on when Fraser joined West Coast, G was a backman and indeed played a fair bit at FB before he changed to the other end...

Lyon was all about statistical data, and an emphasis on results, actions, bubbles and other such abstract bullsh1t. Straight away with Watters we are noticing a shift away from all the cliche's, and a focus on people and the character and values these key people bring to the Saints. No one will ever...

The drafting in 2010 showed that Lyon was looking to the future! It is highly likely IMO or at least a distinct possibility Lyon did not play Walsh in 2010 because with his Sydney connections word had filtered through to him Walsh was already committed to leaving and did not want to give game time ...

Nobody has mentioned Gilbert as the replacement. . See other thread where suggested a 2012 backline of: Dempster Gilbert Gwilt Cripps Fisher Goddard Is a pretty handy backline. I initially liked the idea. It would limit the exposure of Gilbert's kicking. However I'm less excited when I think of mat...
