Re: Ball movement
Make no mistake. This is a coaching issue. Not necessarily all on Ratts, but we need a clear out at the end of the season. Starting with Lade. He took over as forward coach this year, and it’s no coincidence that Max King can’t get near it and our forward line overall has looked completely dysfuncti...

I actually feel sorry for him, but agree it’s time for us to move on from him. He tried, but it was just never meant to be.

Re: Changes for Hawthorn game.
It's time to move on from Jones. His decision making and ball use are not up to scratch, and as a midfielder he's been over-taken by Windhager, and before too long, Owens will also go past him. Out: Billings, Byrnes, Gresham (if injured) In: Owens, Hannebery, Connolly Hill should also be dropped - o...

Re: Rhys Mathieson
No thanks. The last thing we need is another B grade list clogger. To win a flag we need to leap frog the teams above us. Bringing in a guy who isn’t best 22 in one of those teams isn’t going to help us win a flag.

Re: Team v Eagles
Ratten talks a big game, but hasn’t got the guts to pull the trigger. How is Zac Jones the only one dropped? Yet Byrnes, Hill, Butler, Higgins, Billings survive. All f@rt, no sh!t.

Re: Where is Josiah Kyle playing
I think you might find that Josiah found the experience of being an AFL footballer a little too difficult That’s disappointing. I watched him in a couple of the pre-season scratch matches and thought he had lots of X factor but very raw. Good luck to the kid. He’s still young so maybe he might get ...

Re: Time to call Clarkson Saints!!!
After the last two weeks I tend to agree. For me, Ratten lacks tactical nous and leans on his ability to motivate. Unfortunately, this style of coaching will never deliver success. I certainly wouldn’t be rushing to re-sign him. Let’s see how the team performs over the next 8 weeks. He has no excuse...

Re: Tony Elshaug Criminal Negligence
Alan Richardson and Tony Elshaugh set this club back for decades, and our administration are just as culpable for not intervening earlier. Ratten et al have had to bring in ready made recruits from other clubs just to make us competitive.

Re: Leo Connolly
Happy for the kid, but a bit of perspective. Most of Leo’s possessions were accumulated in junk time when we were basically playing keepings off.
Hope he gets another opportunity to show what he’s got, this time when the game is still on the line.

Re: So who has the story?
Sorry, but there’s nothing toxic. Just very poor form, zero confidence and obviously injuries to important players. The message from the coaches is perhaps a little stale but we are trying to find the answers. They are fit enough but poor ball movement makes you appear slow and lethargic. I’m ready...

Don’t think Ryder will cost much. Have a feeling Port will try and do the right thing by him and get him to where he wants without playing hardball.

Cannot understand why we would be considering trading out 27 y.o Josh Bruce (197 cm) for 31 y.o Patrick Ryder (197 cm)? I wouldn't consider it an upgrade.

For a team that desperately needs outside speed, why are we chasing Tomlinson? I totally get why the club doesn’t have him as a high priority..

Hey tony74, is the forward entry method, a legacy of the Richo game plan? Or are our players simply not following instructions?

Re: Teams for Dees
Agree, Parker a touch unlucky, however one could argue he was ‘gifted’ a few games under the Richo regime, when his form probably warranted him being dropped. I have faith in Ratten’s selection. He obviously has a plan which includes Long in the team.
