Re: the 20- Moments of 2015
What a great list. Brings a smile to your face. Does anyone know the story behind Billy & the driving? It looks like it was a competition as there are heads at the bottom of the footage & 1 has a tick & 2 have crosses with Billys head blank. Hi Snoopygirl, It was one of Armo's challenge...

http://www.antiquesreporter.com.au/index.cfm/lot/91037-barry-breen-stkilda-stkilda-football-club-300th-game-testimonial/ Hi Kosi, I've got one of these too. I remember the day like it was yesterday - it was the first game that I went to by myself as a young teenager. Caught the train to Moorabbin a...

I'm excited - win or lose I'll be happy as long as we give it a red hot go.

Put me down for 5 Mr Plugs - and if we go for a second player, I'll take 5 more.
Thanks for taking this on.

Re: Dunstan
To be fair to Spud - when I initially read that comment about bags of oranges, I thought "WTF sort of advice is that!!" - but I think what was meant is that Armo improved so much 'cos he lost the weight and to see how much effect that extra weight would have then he could try running aroun...

Re: 2015 - Draft & Trade Thread
I like the idea of a fully committed Carlisle in our backline but I also see him as carrying quite a risk - he's not been "on fire" this last season and his attitude worries me. There are also question marks over his body and durability and the dark cloud of WADA hangs over him too. I thin...

I agree that 2018 will be a big year but I think we'll sneak in to top 8 in 2017.

Trade period is too long
Not sure what others think but I find Trade Period goes on too long. Lots of conjecture, often mixed with a lot of false BS from journos trying too eek out some interest when in reality nothing much is happening. I know that there are obviously discussions and dealings that need to take place but su...

Re: Rewatching 09/10 tonight on the AFL marathon
I can't bring myself to watch either 09 or 10.
My memory was of missed shots at goal and some bad luck - the toe-poke in 09 and the bounce in 10.
I think the boys gave all they could.
I'm still haunted to this day and suspect only a win in the big dance will rectify this.

Re: Luke Dunstan and Concussion
Hi WW and Rippluger66, I've got an interest in this area as I coach junior footy and am also a trainer and a doctor. The evidence is that helmets may prevent local trauma - I.e. a cut/laceration/fracture - but they don't stop concussion. This is because the injury in concussion is caused by the brai...

Had a knock on the door around 7pm - Jack Billings and Jack Sinclair saying thanks for being part of the Saints.
They are both great young men.
Thanks to the St Kilda Footy club - a great and unexpected surprise.
A very happy Saints family in Kew tonight!!

Nice photo of the Kew Comets Junior Footy Club players.
The first on the left is Hugh Beasley - rookied by Brisbane this year and played his first senior game last Sat.
6 kids from that team are now AFL players - I reckon we've got the best 2 though.
Go Saints!

Re: Hickey forward
I also think it worked and gave Bruce some freedom from being the only tall target up forward. I think that was a big problem for us last week against the Blues - especially when McCartin was subbed off.
Liked what Hickey did and for a big bloke he is also good at ground level.

Rebuild vs trying to hang in there - I'm happy
On the way home from tonight's game I thought there was a lot of positive about our future with lots of young guys that need a bit of development - both physically and in decision-making and calmness under pressure. We will no bout improve and be challenging in the not-too- distant future. Contrast ...

Re: When the Saints go Marching in.
Hi Pluggsy and Kos, Jack Sinclair's grandfather was Bill Gleeson who played for the Saints in 55 and 56 - I think he played 15 games but not completely sure of that. I know jack from Kew Comets and he is a great kid from a good family and is very determined and hard-working. His mum is really happy ...

Members car stickers problems
Hi Sainters - just wondering if others have had problems with the members car stickers this year? I chucked them on the cars about 6 weeks ago and they are already shrivelling up and falling off. Not happened to the stickers for the last few years. Wondering if it's something I've done or the sticke...

As of today, I have a 2015 Saints Calendar signed by most of the players involved. No sign of Jack Steven this morning. Hi Kosi, Jack was there this morning - he was mainly at the stage area. He signed my little blokes jumper and said he was looking forward to an injury-free season as last year was...

Jack Sinclair played with Jack Billings for Kew Comets junior football club. In that team were also Luke MacDonald (North) and Jay Kennedy-Harris (Dees) and Hugh Beasley who the Lions have just rookied. My son played with them too - won 5 flags in a row. All really nice kids too. I remember Jack Sin...

Re: McCartney resigned from Dogs
That's not a surprise given yesterday's events. Will be interesting though to see how this plays out with Griffen - will he now stay? Has he got other motives behind his trade request? All very messy. Glad we aren't making headlines like this. Look forward to seeing how our draft plans go - will thi...
