Re: Entry Song for Saints? AFL request

"I'm a loser, baby," - BECK (Because we historically are such losers.) "The never ending story," - THEME (Because our misery never f****** ends.) "Highway to Hell," - ACDC ('09: second, '10: second, '11: seventh, '12: ninth... looks like a downward trajectory (highway) ...

Re: How good are Armo and Steven actually?

"How good they were at the same age" is irrelevant - remember Dal, Lenny and co. were given heavy midfield responsibility from the get-go, whilst Jack and Armo have been forced to undergo a bastards entry & growth into the team... In all practical reality, they've both only played two...

Re: Don't Write Us Off

Sam landsberger had Lee as the 6th best impact of players drated last season so I doubt he thinks we did badly. Unlike most on here though he probably doesnt rate our picks any better than any other clubs so on top of losing BJ and Gram and our stars getting older he has come to the logical conclus...

Re: St Kilda's blueprint to financial success

I don't like the idea of giving away our fortress of a home ground for 7 out of 11 home games just for financial gain....

We'd be far better off striking a better stadium deal, or just waiting till the stadium is paid off and we can start making money from it...

GT brought somewhat of a revolution to the St.K FC and did a lot of great things, but he would be the first to admit he's not without his flaws. What are they? His strengths were great: He was/is first class when it comes to dealing with / teaching young men how to grow and mature into adults - he'...

Re: Considered criticisms of the Thommo years

My favourite day at the football was when we poleaxed Carlton at Optus Oval in late 2003. As GT stated they had over the years given us some fearful hidings and to kick them whilst they were down on their home turf was as good as a finals win. Agreed, that day late in 2003 stands out like a beacon ...

Re: Considered criticisms of the Thommo years

Reckon you are very tough on the first one. Doubt we had the money at that stage to do much about that. Also i cant rmember Heath Black missing to many games under GT or even Guerra. Yes they both left but I thought they were played often when with us. The first one is mainly about all the injuries...

The thing about 2009 though is once we lost to the Bummers, we then lost to North, we just beat Melbourne and that game is part of the tanking investigation and then Roo got us over the line in the finals leading up to the Grand Final, mind you we were extremely lucky to beat the dogs in the prelim...

Re: Our new talls = big positives

No I actually expect Kosi to be no better all but Lee could be worse than Gamble. Without seeing him in a game he cant be ahead of Kosi. I to hope he will be but he has 4 practice games to prove it. If he cant get a kick in them he cant play in round one. No way Lee could be worse than Gamble. It's...

Final list changes from 2012-2013 (barring any more de-listings). An improvement or a step backwards: OUT: Goddard Gram Cripps Raph Peake Polo Crocker Archer IN: Lee Hickey Wright White LRT Murdoch Saunders Pierce 8 players turned over seems to be a large amount. Hope you're right Con. Can't imagine how good it will be to have a gun rather than a liability at FF. St.Kilda is littered with a history of gun full forwards, and Kosi is not one of them. Hoping Lee can be the best FF we've seen since at least the G-Train. If so, and if Hickey can hold down a ruck ...
