Re: What Roo needs.

He needs some form of protection from the umpires to be honest about it. Why do the rules change when a defender is infringing on him? Yep for the first part for sure. Its been as bad as youll see this year I dont know if its just they cant umpire or choose to ignore infringments against him. Nick ...

Re: Gwilt ahead of Bruce

Surely this had to be for disciplinary reasons. Gwilt is too small for tall forwards, too slow for nimble forwards, too unco for mid sized slow forwards...he just doesn't belong at the senior level. Bruce is a far better option. We already have Dempster who plays our fumbling mid size backman - why...

Re: Mediocre Players with Cult Status

Has Rohan Smith got a mention? Bald headed lad recruited from Port Adelaide in the late 80's, early 90's from memory. Another worthy mention. Not to be confused with Bulldogs star Rohan "Bubba" Smith. Rohan "Uncle Fester" Smith was recruited from Port Adelaide. I remember seeing...

Re: Mediocre Players with Cult Status

Jayson "Jack" Daniels is a good response. He was all heart. Loved his endeavour on the field, but just an awful, awful kick of the ball. Every time he kicked the ball it seemed to be a helicopter punt of sorts. But ultimately the player who could have been anything but wasn't was Rod Owen...

Re: Mediocre Players with Cult Status

Jayson Daniels, played abit in the seniors, was pretty popular, left & came back. he used to get the ball abit, but his kicking! People on here would be squealing. Jack was a good goer but you're right about his kicking - ten times worse than CJ. Though i think he was involved in that final play ...

Trevor Barker was the best player in sides... That were terrible... That's actually difficult and very different. He also played for Vic and would have been an automatic in 11 other teams - agreed. Jamie Cripps is a bottom 4 player in a bottom four team, and largely gets a game because of fwds inju...

Re: Rhys Stanley

You guys bagging Rhys have no idea. He is getting better and is going to be a star. We just have to keep playing him and letting him build his tank and confidence until he starts to tear games apart. FFS, we have persisted with hacks like Gwilt, yet you guys want to cut Rhys. Luckily the coaches pi...

Re: Rhys Stanley

The only positive comment we ever hear about Rhys is that he won the GF sprint 5 years ago.

Has anyone checked the quality of his opposition that day, as i remember one of his opponents was Martin Pike for God's sake.

It's time for him to give us something else to hang his hat on.

Re: Should we try for Riewoldt J?

Interesting. On one hand, we don't need another Riewoldt running the club. On the other, there's no question Jack is being underused at Richmond. Methinks it's more likely Hardwick will get sacked for that reason, though. Senior players questioning the game plan is not a good look. If Rooy was runn...

Re: MRP has no idea

Absolutely the correct decision, even in slow motion. Maybe it is. But don't put 1% blame on the bloke hunting the ball. He did nothing wrong and should expect to be protected. Fair enough. Do you have suggestions about what Hannebery should have done in the circumstance? There are options. You can...
