Jones and Billings automatically pushed back into a winning team.
Bomb it long, that's how King wants it.
Bye.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Bulldogs Round 18 2022
Has anyone noticed our downfall began when Jones and Billings were automatically put back into the team?

Re: Early injury news on Ch7
How the hell did Howard find his way back onto the ground in the 3rd quarter after the injury in the 2nd quarter? They had 30 minutes to test it out and figured he was fine??

Highmore might be the first player that walks from our team for more opportunity and I wouldn't blame him.

Re: What is a "Clutch" Goal ?
For us it's successfully kicking a set shot when it's needed. Unfortunately the rest of our team can't seem to consistently do this.
Has Sharman missed a set shot is the better question.

You telling me Sharman can't get a gig in this side? Has he had a goaless game with us yet? As soon as he came in last year he put the rest of our forward line to shame.

The midfield has definitely been our deficiency the last few years. Side note, where has Leo Connolly been at?

If we had won in Brisbane and Cairns
Which were both winnable on our day, we'd be equal top.
The window is open. Learn from these h&a losses and hit top gear a month from now.

The siren should be the end of play anyway. Ridiculous that we wait for the umpire to signal.

Re: Our Third Quarter
Ratts said it I think addressing the players in the rooms a few weeks ago - we play our best when we're UNPREDICTABLE. You'll notice in the 2nd half whenever a player took the game on, they looked like they were going one way, then changed direction. Jones naturally brings this but when you start to...

Re: Selling games!!!!????
I believed in NZ. The trouble was we could never bloody win there. Maybe it was something to explore once we had a stronger side. You can't expect to play there for a decade and build a following by losing every time you play there, even to weak as s*** teams like Carlton.

Re: We will demolish Greater Western Sydney on every line....
Well, of course we should win. But it won't be easy. GWS are very hard at the ball in tight. It'll be a scrap and we probably won't get the freedom of movement that we have seen in recent games. And, in a low scoring game, Greene's ability to make something out of nothing could be important. I'm no...

Re: Changes v Power
Butler got 6 touches- 4 kicks, 2 handballs. Time for a rest mate. NVM got low AF ranking points, i think he got 7-8 touches. Him out too Disagree on NWM. We hardly used him all game because there were so many stoppages and we could hardly get it to the outside. But whenever we did he continued his ...

Re: Jack Hayes - ACL
The AFL has a big problem here. They are about to enter into new negotiations for TV rights which they hope to finalise by the end of the year. And that means it's now too late to do anything about GWS's list before then (they desperately need a decent full forward, if nothing else). It's the AFL's...

Re: Umpiring
By and large, the current group of players support the move - it's the media and a number of past players who are complaining. Because the current group are in the system, and when current personnel in the system speak out against the AFL, well, the AFL become 'displeased' with them. From my perspe...

Re: Umpiring
The no arms thing is a debacle. What's next, the players can't shake their heads? Roll their eyes? Are we banning emotions now? Get a grip AFL. Why can't they see that they are introducing more grey areas into the game, and that is what makes umpiring this ridiculous game so difficult. It's just goi...

Liking him in the forward line. Some saying his quietest game so far this year but I noticed a few 1%ers like that smart tap to Gresham when Hill soccered it forward after some fumbles in the middle. And the quick handpass back to Wood in space created his goal. Another tall target but is quick belo...

Re: Rattens move to take Hill out of defence won us the game
It's interesting because sometimes he's great there, but when the pressure is on there always seems to be someone running with Hill or in the right place to break off their man and impact Hill as soon as he's about to receive it. He runs well and can set up our play beautifully if he can just get it...
