On the over muscling....my personal pet theory is that this had a lot to do with our string of hammy's...and now that we are more endurance foccused it will dissipate. In athletics I look at sprinters...and they always seem fragile with lots of injuries...vs the long distance runners who just don't ...

The thing I can't understand was that Brooks came in against the Lions....played brilliantly......admittedly against weak opposition...but starred none the less. Then the week later we don't pick him against the Dees in the Finals....just when you think he would have had some confidence....and when ...

X SHOULD be the HF that we need... He has the pace..the dash..the run down hard tackle BUT he does not have the knack of kicking goals when he is in poasition to do so.. He either needs to solve his kicking problem...or get ready to have his spot taken in the 22. He SHOULD be good enough....but curr...

Re: Where's the 'Lyon Toughness'??

I am not talking pushing and shoving....but for eaxmple a well executed hip and shoulder and running througha player (legally) when you have the chance. Mean bast**** do it........

Watts kicked 7 against the bottom team in the VFL who made changes to give younger players a go. The Tassie defence was no where near AFL standard. Some of our local sides could beat the Tassie VFL team.  Ah...a voice of reason.... Casey knocks off the wooden spooners and suddely we wa...

Herald sun report: In the other match yesterday, the Casey Scorpions enhanced their final-eight aspirations with a 10-goal victory over wooden spooners the Tassie Devils at the Bellerive Oval. . Perhaps before we elevate a third of the Casey team for our glorius win....we should reflect on the qual...

The sports facilities there aren't too crash hot , there's a rather overcrowded Gym, but at least there's a decent size pool. . But would that not be the point....and the argument for the various Stae and Federal Governments to chip ina few million each....that the saints geta new ehnaced facility,...

My initial reaction is: great idea!! :) indeed...as the ide would be to link in with some sports medicine boffins......and no doubt have some new and shared sports facilities witha group that would appreciate it... Speculating that as the land would I assume be Federal...that they can get around Co...

Ray now at the Cats...why does it not surprise....
Why does it not surprise me to learn today that Ray McLean has been involved with the Cats of late.... http://www.leadingteams.net.au/www/303/1001127/displayarticle/1001329.html Ray was involved with the Saints before .......when we were on the rise... And started with the Swans about 5 yeras ago......

Roos said it was the Swans best game of the year, so we weren't far off the mark. I haven't watched the Swans play much this year (why bother, when the living room wall is there), but Saturday night was a game in which the majority of their star players showed nothing or next to nothing, their defe...

whilst i hear what your saying, can we please stop bringing the past up. Fact of the matter is that were playing below the potential that we have, no excuse can cover that up. Who is to blame? not RL imho, but rather the mentally weak playing group who refuse to dig deep when they absolutely must. ...

the good ole days...the Streak
There is a contiinual undercurrent by many hinting that if we just returned to how we played in the streak that all would well...."the good ole days" hypothesis. Such thoughts ignore: 1/ That we don't play in a vaccum. The main reason the streak stopped was that opposition teams changed ho...

Re: Where's the 'Lyon Toughness'??
also, you don't draft toughness...how silly...it's not a biological parameter like height or speed...it's attitudinal and all players can have it and all players can lose it . . . . attitudinal not an inherent list characteristic Quite frankly that is pure rubbish... While you can get ALL players t...
