Like boxer James J Braddock injuring his right arm forced to work on the docks with only his left, won the title fight only because he had a surprise package new powerful left hand weapon. At the end of the year if Nick gets shut down we'll know what to do.

Clarke - strong fourth quarter because the guy can run at speed all day.

3 tackles 3 spoils 19 disposals - this is a potential star you want to get good for the finals. Gram more forward to kick goals.

I'm obviously sitting here looking at the stats. What's with the free kick count! Bloody hell.

Wasnt' Mini playing more on the ball last year? From memory his contested possession numbers were best at the club and he was more in and under (keeping Ball out of the team). Could be wrong but seems more forward this year which isn't working (to date). I understand he's a good shot on goal but wou...

Sydney are top of the table so maybe we should be worried about them. Actually this weekend makes me think all this is pretty good in terms of taking the pressure off and sneaking into the the top four without Nick. Carlton were looking quick. Do we need to attack in a similar way (to take a leaf). ...

Pretty sure we smashed Freo in the clearances last week.

Good point re our mids. Look at the stats, a number of top possession getters had both no goals and no goal assists.

Due to the sensitive nature of this thread I would like to ever so politely suggest this may have been a problem on the night.

BS - nearly every post you have a crack at Dawson. Why don't you create a Subject on it and see how many people make it baron. How many goals has he allowed his opponent H&A? He did extremely well 2009 - where's the appreciation. Anway, how many goals?

Luke Ball is scum now, that's all there is to it. He must have felt low, low like a dog, when Malthouse (his new coach and inspirational leader) abused his old buddies (Baker and Milne) in the worst possible scumbag fashion. I couldn't help take a shot at Ball when he air-balled his shot on goal rig...

Right in front of me Zac took his eyes off the man and in that split second was out jostled and failed to make a spoil, where he should have taken the mark (was originally in the better position). Saying that, his man scored one goal, and at one point he was used forward. To say he has had seven bad...

I thought Quatermain was going to have a baby when Blake got caught in the opening spell. Mostly they're just dickheads in a box talking shite and getting excited buffing each other's nobs. Seven are just as bad but a little more archaic in my view. Wished they'd use professional commentators aka th...

Rickabee - 100% spot on! I believe every player has their ideal position in a team, the challenge for coach and player is to find it. Still tingling that maybe Gwilt has found his. Stanley will need to buff up over the next year or two to protect himself. It's all very find & friendly in scratch...

It shouldn't have been a fifty meter penalty anyhow, actually it shouldn't have even been a free kick (Dal Santo just got smashed). If the six day break wasn't a factor why did RL mention it on more than one occassion last year. And you'd have to be a d**khead to think flying interstate doesn't effect your preparation. One of the hidden reasons for our inter-city pre-season visits was to drill the flying routine.

If they sold coopers I'd probably buy more beer at the footy but the p*ss they sell is exactly that. The wine is a disaster - but a sad and likely option. IMO Miles showed good signs playing in back, good speed, should improve. Also, Nick Heyne had a bit of a crack at Ball, which was nice work, I'm liking his aggression (had a crack at Schneider in intraclub) - choked with the shot on goal, however, I reckon he'll improve and become decent flanker or ...

Armoguard

IMO Armo was best on ground and agree he's bulked up impressively. Bigger than CJ easily around the arms, and CJ is big. To contradict some posts here I thought Milne was up and about, got the ball alot, good vision and kicked a couple of goals from memory. Jack Steven looked a little flat footed on...
