A loss would do us the world of good. Just like Essendon in Round 21 2000, ironically enough also against the Bulldogs. If we lose on Saturday night all the pressure will be released and the players will know that the flag is not yet in the bag.

At the end of the day, all those posters that said Lyon will not rest players were wrong!!!!!

So far he has rested Ball, Kosi and Zac. I admit, he may not have had a choice in some, but he has rested players. Now he needs to sneak in a week off for Lenny, Rooey, Dal and BJ.

Give Gardiner another week to get over his injury. McEvoy and King are fine in the ruck. Hughton in for Zac and Goose in for Kosi. Ball can have a game for Sandy.

Don't you hate the fact that we could be playing Collingwood in the qualifying final at a ground that they are perfectly comfortable with and that we would have played only 1 game at? Didn't bother us too much last year in the 1st semi did it? That's true, however I would rather St kilda have every...

I would not want St kilda going into the Qualifying final at 22 and 0 playing Collingwood or Carlton at the MCG. The pressure on our players would be unbearable. Imagine if we went into the Grand Final at 24 and 0. What would the pressure on the players be like then?

When you are 16 and 0, losing a close hard game against the Bulldogs will do us more good than harm.....IMHO.

I want St kilda to be known as a team that plays the MCG perfectly and as a team that is well suited to play at the MCG. Right now we are an unknown quantity as far as the MCG is concerned.

Our home ground is docklands..... You can't just pick and choose where you want to play your home games each week..... Are you a troll? Fistly I am not a troll. I didn't say 'just pick and choose where we want to play our home games each week' Where did you pluck that from? I said 'this is what I w...

This post will go down well! It's only my opinion. If people don't agree that's fair enough. Isn't the point of a forum to post peoples opinions? I believe you as well. It will keep the players on their toes, the guys that come in will bust their gut or miss out on the finals. It means the if the g...

St kilda FC need to take a leaf out of Essendon's fixture...

...for 2010. This is what I would like to see..... Home games at Docklands against interstate teams and the Demons. That would be roughly 4 maybe 5 games. For the purposes of this discussion, lets say it is 4 games.....Mlbourne, West Coast, Adelaide and Sydney. Then I would like us to play 1 home ga...

Great, players potentially dropping out of form, loss of momentum, upsetting the team balance...yeah, just what we need. I'd be happier if all the resting forumites took a long spell from this forum...how many 'resting' threads do we need. We've seen your point about 50 times, it's narrow minded cr...

Wow i can check a persons spelling too :) :) :)
There is a huge difference between confusing 'lose' and 'loose', and the letter 'P' on my keyboard not working.

The 2 suspensions are a blessing in disguise.

Finally, a little bit of adversity for our team. This is fantastic because it will keep everyone on their toes. If any comlacency was sneaking in, it's gone now. The 2 weeks that Zac got is fantastic. He will come back round 19 refreshed and raring to go. Hughton can replace him, no problem there. W...

If Kosi misses this week surely MaGuire will be given a chance at Full Forward!!?? For crying out loud, it's round 17 already, if we don't try him out now we never will. If Kosi has damaged his hand it would be better for him to take off the next 3 weeks and tell Maguire he will play FF for 3 weeks ...

If we can rest someone weekly and keep winning, then YES.

If I had a say, this week I would rest Lenny Hayes and Blake and bring in MaGuire and Armitage.
