Nearly killed the filth supporter in front of me (well, I popped the balloon headware that she was wearing after refusing to remove it when it was obstructing my view, and you would have thought I killed her) - was so effing angry think I needed to play a game to get the adrenaline out of my system ...

the nerves during the granny - what did you you do to cope?

What 'out of routine' things did others do to get through the stress of the game?? Apart from drinking heaps ;) Ironed a heap of work shirts and sewed up some holes in several socks!! then cleaned the unit with being so sick with nerves. The unit should be pretty clean by next Sunday - may get into ...

Joffa boy - what were the betting odds on Sunday - so they had no idea as well? 3 crap games deserved their 'straight sets' tag. We don't all sleep under red, white and black quilts. Nearly 11000 posts - pretty good effort. Got a tattoo as well? Copped heaps with the 'straight sets' at work - ah wel...

but if we dominated possession then why couldn't we score more? is that RLs's game plan - not to kick to a contest - when he should already know that we have the cattle to take them on after half time? I call it "handbrake footy" - Adelaide got rid of it - we should too thanks for your tho...

Was it that good a win?

Was Cloke the highest kick getter at 11? If that's the case then yeah, have a good cheer and all that, but we're still no where near our best if Cloke was up there at the top. We should've crushed them but couldn't. Sorry folks - still not happy.

Cheers.

Ooops - the NS medal for Norm Smith (not NM).
Sorry folks

but anyway - all those other games did not have us down rock solid to get the the points such as this latest one.

Apologies to anyone that didn't think that it was worth 'shooting the breeze' on this thread.

Cheers :)

I was at that game as well - when the reserves got done by around 10 goals I was pretty sure we couldn't down any worse - WRONG. You sure it was 79? That game is the benchmark to justify my rant tonite. It was a huge defeat (GOB SMACKING) but it did not have the same game build up - i.e. that we 'ha...

Loss to Essendon was our most embarrassing defeat - ever?

Eight quality players back and we get dumped on our backside. With all the hooplaa and media crap with the previous week - that I have never ever seen before in decades of watching the game - then combine it with the 'gods' coming back in the following week, crikey - on paper it was ours by flaming ...

Suggestions on how to pace myself after the GF

OK seriously, I now have annual leave (approved) for 1 week after the granny. Will head down to Linton St both Sat and Sun. But where to from there? Should I book hotel room down that way now? Are others doing this? Any ideas where everybody is going to hang out from Monday onwards? This is going to...

try this for a nick name? Gilbert Gobstopper - from a kids book ;) Gobstopper is British slang for an all-day jawbreaker that prevents speech, eating or almost any function using the mouth. This lively account of the adventures of a bright red gobstopper spans at least fifty years and possibly one o...

Is it OK to wear your saints scarf to work this week?

Well - I'm going to whether they call me a tosser or not. Anybody else going to or are you going to be weak kneeed and 'conform' because you don't want to harm your promotional prospects ; ? Interesting to hear what serious excuses people might have to not wearing the scarf? The Grand Final isn't th...

Di and Norm at the Medallion Club - vs Richmond

Hi Team What a great year we're having! And it got even better on Sunday before the game against Richmond when I was lining up with my son David (14 yrs) to pay for general admission tickets to Level 3 (aka the bleachers :( ). Guess what happened? We actually ended up with 2 free tickets to the Meda...
