Kosi rested Roo in big Mac to stay Dont think Kosi needs a rest, he missed in Round 17. Plus I think he needs the game time to find his touch again. Thought he played like he was resting last weekend to be honest! Love him, but he hardly cracked a sweat. Giving Kosi some time on the ball late on Sa...

Re: Was not taking cousins the turning point?

Was just thinking of this after watching cuz play his 250th on the weekend. Was the actions after our boards decision not to pick him the turning point in the history of this side? Ross was on record of saying to the boys, especially the senior players, that you cannot expect one guy coming in to b...

Not saying I'd trade Bally and our first draft pick for him, but Kerr is an absolute "gun" when fit and firing. One of the very best in the league. Something Ross Lyon would be very well aware of, given he was Sydney's midfield coach (from memory) against West Coast, in two grand finals. H...

It's worth remembering that if we win our first final our whole side can have the week off the next week. That's only 5 weeks away. We don't want to give them too much rest. If giving any of them another week or two would help an injury heal significantly, though, I'm all for it. We can clearly cove...

I'd be 99.9% sure King will be the ruckman in this years finals series this year but i also dont think there should be any need for Kingy to be at the club next season. harsh call I know and it looks like he will play but I would think Ben will be ready to go full time next season and with King and...

He's showing the same sort of promise that Barry Brooks did initially. I just hope he has a much, much longer and way better AFL career. Big Mac is taking contested marks, smothering , tackling, using the ball well. I must have nodded off to sleep when BB did any of that ever. I don't believe I sai...

I know it is a big call, but collingwood, and geelong and adelaide do not have a "fevola " type. I think you will find that for the balance of the side, and the need to have strong disposal, that when we play a team with a major full forward like carlton, max will be in and dawson out. Co...

Re: That Hawk Behind Me

Last year in the prelim a Hawk supporter and his mate sat behind us and annoyed me, my dad and the rest of our group beyond belief to the extent there were some terse words and MCG officials came and plonked themselves next to us after we complained. He even questioned Bangers courage. I thought al...

The biggest problem I see with Armo, both with St Kilda and Sandy, is his tank. He doesn't have one. That may have been a major issue in years past, when those in the midfield were playing most of the game, but he'd only be likely to play about 75% in our current side, so it may not matter too much...

Isn't it possible that these players are carrying injuries that warrant them not being played? It is indeed. I'd say except for maybe Rooey, they probably all had some sort of niggle/legit, albeit minor injury. Eg; apparently Bakes has been carrying a knee injury for a while and we first heard abou...

Great signs for the future with Mac and would be quite happy to see him play again this week. As well as his marking confidence growing, his mates will grow in confidence to kick it to him, so it will snowball. I very much doubt we'll want to play the 3 big guys this week though, against such a quic...

I think King does better than Mac in the ruck, but then it pretty much stops. We don't really see him again till the next throw in or ball up. Mac is much more mobile and is starting to get his marking confidence up. He is a legitimate option to rotate through the forward line. Especially with Kosi ...

And they didn't have Gilbo and Fisher helping them out as third man up, either. Maybe they'll try one of those two in a more attacking posi over the next 3 weeks. Gilbo could play on the wing, in the role Richo did last year. Running up and down the ground, taking mark after mark, helping out down b...

Well done captain/coach Max.

Congrats to Maxie on his form return from the one sub-par (that I remember) game of his career to captain and then "coach" (at the press conference, anyway) us yesterday. Hopefully no-one will be calling for him to be out of the team for this weeks game! If anyone deserves to play in a fla...

Not to mention that the inclusions will be wanting to make a statement, they have been pushing for selection and this is their opportunity to shine. Indeed and I expect Ross will probably try to turn this into as ugly a game as our one against Hawthorn was a couple of years ago (at the MCG- the &qu...

At least we effectively got Aaron Hamill to the club in exchange for Darryl. Delisting Shane was one stupid move. Cost us many games, I reckon.

I caught some of the 2am version and it was great to see some of the guys again, like Browny (if not for Tim Watson coaching us, he may still be playing for us) Rocket Keogh, etc. One big difference between then and now is the kicking efficiency. So many of our kicks forward were ordinary and that w...

I also don't agree with Franklin, Tippett or Tredrea and I don't believe they'll want to name Rooey on the flank. Someone like Didak will most likely be named there. I seriously doubt they'll want to name 4 really big blokes on the forward line.
