Re: Who makes way for Kosi?

Just wondering who everyone thinks will come out of the team to make way for Kosi? Peake was pretty quiet this week but do we sacrifice a runner? Clarke's just come back in the team after a few good weeks in the VFL so i'd think he'd be given time possibly? the only change this week imo is king out...

I have no idea whatsoever why people want Mcqualter dropped? Steven is probably the most overrated player on this forum and Mcqualter is absolutely miles ahead of him. Mcqualter isnt there to kick a massive bag of goals a game, he's there to pressure and tackle and use the ball well as he normally ...

This is a very serious issue which could easily spiral out of control... In fact, I won't suprised if we soon see legislation that bans footy's in public places... given that can be used as a weapon. I can just see it now... "Listen mate, don't fcuk with me allright? I'v got a Sherring under my...

Zac was serviceable and totally out of his comfort zone. The reason Freo scored over 90 points is that we had to break up our strong defence by moving Zac forward. Bringing Kosi in will settle the forward line and Zac can go back again to his spot. He has only played 41 games. Give him a break. ???...

Goddard robs Peter to pay Paul IMO he sets up play into the forward line and cuts off supply the other way. Dont no if Freo was just really quick but it came back quickly the other way last night and they seemed to score easier than we usually allow. Im not a statistician but we didnt seem to let m...

Funny thing... did Zac go fwd because he was ordinary... or did Fisher go back because he had almost no impact up fwd?

One thing many of us haven't touched on is the possibility that Roo may not come back this year (God forbid). So, IMO we have to make every post a winner as far as winning goes, first and foremost. That means developing an alternative fwd structure and getting it settled. Stanley is raw, and this is...

i have been saying for ages that Goddard is our best player. I love the way Nick applies himself but as a complete package BJ seems the better of the 2. It gets me yelled down a bit but I rate him as more important than Riewoldt. I just wish we could clone him. That's a big call... and not without ...

I would still give Stanley a game before McEvoy. Against Port might be a good time to blood him.
That leave's us 1 KPF short, unless you want BJ up there full time.

Haven't checked yesterdays stats, but as of the start, he was averaging 23 possies a game.

And I don't think there have been too many short chip cheapies amongst them.

Mac may come in for Gardy? Cant work out if we are rotating our rucks in a horses for courses type scenario or just trying to work out which combo we like best?
Agree on your first point.

Freo are playing well. Their defensive pressure was great and it wasn't until the final Q that the game opened up for us.

Their game seems to involve have one or 2 players spread loose to the opposite wing... and away they go.

Also hopefully next time we play Freo we will not kick it as many times to marking cointests that he is in, as that is alow % play now. Yes, at times I thought Sandilands was exercising some sort of magnetic attraction for our players when they were kicking the ball. It could be that old golfer's p...

I was thinking about this myself. If you didn't know better (or weren't one-eyed) you'd swear we are being unfairly treated by the umpires. However, in reality it's highly doubtful that that is the case. So, it may be something the coaches need to look at. Are we being a bit lippy to the umps? Are ...

When our guy got pinged in the first was a disgrace. Took the mark and the Freo guy was right behind, barreled into his back and our guy was pinged.

Then you had other Fre players get caught after taking on our players and nothing.

Pffft.

+ 1 to the thread title, don't underestimate just how much of a challenge Freo were...without our tall fowards, unbelievable footy. Unless they run out of puff, Freo will make the 8 this. Harvey has them set up nicely coming out of defence, and their pressure on us was first rate. But like all othe...

Yep, good on ya I66.

I'm too young to recall 66... but I can remembers Young ripping the Dons with 5 at Waverly.

Those times have been too few and far between for many of us.

Maybe he's instructed to saty back in the chance of getting the ball?

Commonly known as "outside" players... that's their role.

Have we considered this possibility?
