Re: Melbourne still have edge over St Kilda in premiership r
Our spine is better than theirs and sorted for the next ten years. Midfielders are easier to come by . Look at freo trying to secure a decent forward . Saying that there seems to be no free agents available to us this year so that's one more year we have to rely on drafting mids or trading for them...

Re: Bloody good effort
Ripping last quarter...proud of the boys. Thought Gresham had a good one today...starting to see his value. Roo is a total freak ..Monty not far behind Gilbert also had a ripper. We're getting there! We missed Sinclair today as he is cool and has some footy smarts. Lonie is having second year blues...

Re: Anyone else feeling flat about this season?
This year is when the heavy lifting starts shifting to the next generation. Last year we saw Armo join Steven as our best 2 players. This year we will see the likes of Billings, Dunstan, Acres, Bruce start playing more leading rather than supporting roles. The net win-loss ratio I predict will be s...

The game almost became inconsequential with the emotional start and finish to the game. Strange day indeed.

Re: Webster in Bali Hospital
I don't get why people still go to Bali, just spend the extra $100 and go to Singapore. We just got back from Singapore....waaaaaaaay more expensive for a family to eat out in Singapore. Around 50-60% more for the same type of meal...and that was in Chinatown, which is meant to be less expensive th...

Re: Small forward firepower
Dunstan - second year blues IMO Or do we just overrate a kid in their first year because of the expectation level is low?? Michington can play I don't understand this bagging of Dunstan about last year from many here. He is playing smack bang in the hottest part of the kitchen against the biggest, ...

No love for Matthew Young on here? The guy was an absolute gun of a running defender before he was cruelly cut down by arthritis... He had such great kicking skills Matty He certainly did PR. His disposals were so damaging that opposition coaches started to tag him once they realised how much he hu...

They're very good at not knowing, but knowing. They don't know what they injected players with, but they know it was safe and legit. They didn't know where jake was for asada when it might have damaged them, but they knew for hawthorn when it might have benefited them. And of course they had no ide...

Re: Daniel McKenzie and others under the radar
Great thread. I think it's pretty exciting that we're very likely to see several of our young blokes really kick on next year. I expect to see bolters in Billings, Acres, McKenzie and Goddard next year....in much the same way that the Doggies had their crop of bolters really come on this year. Add t...

Re: 2016 Fixture
I'm very happy with this draw - best we've had for a long time IMO. Me and my old man were umming and aahing about upgrading to a premium membership next year - this draw has swung the deal as far as we're concerned. We get better seats and easier-to-attend games, and in turn the club gets more mone...

Re: How many weeks?
I suspect around 4 weeks, but I'm hoping they all get zero weeks - I think all of the players have been through enough. International eyes are on this issue and if they all get lengthy suspensions it's not a good look for our game...on a personal level, I've already received a bunch of smart-ass tex...

Re: A Club to be Proud of.
I am very happy with Matt Finnis. Best thing to happen to this place in a long time in my opinion. Agreed. The difference between his performance and his predecessor, Greg Waste-away, are galaxies apart. Well in defence of Westaway he wasn't even employed by the club. Corect he was the President......

Great post WW. One of the best posts I've ever seen on this site TBH.
I reckon you're bang on the money as to how the club and it's leaders will handle this situation.

Re: Carlisle "scandal"
We will cop heaps of negative publicity over this. If we were negotiating any multi $m sponsorship deals then consider them lost. Expensive price to pay for a d**khead who could well cop an extended WADA suspension as we pay for him. I share your concerns, but you'd think any sponsor would have the...
