Re: Roo be tunneled
Rough conduct. Should've been reported. That sort of crap needs to be stamped out of the game through dishing out suspensions. Extraordinarily dangerous. A dog act. Agreed 100% I've always said that tunneling isn't taken as seriously in footy as it should be. There have been some very serious spina...

Re: Mediocre Players with Cult Status
John Peter-Budge gets my nod for this award.
Apparently he was an absolute beast on the track and in the twos, but couldn't really bring it when he played in the seniors.

Re: End of season delistings
Leadership is one thing, but really, the pressure needs to be put on players to take the initiative and not expect senior older players to carry the burden. I would have hoped to see some of our midfielders getting more possessions and votes ahead of Lenny at this stage of the season for example, I...

Re: End of season delistings
I would make a very tough call and say thanks for your efforts to Lenny, Montagna, Ray, Roo, Jones, Fisher and I probably would have done it before this season.... ouch Didn't you learn anything from the way Melbourne struggled after they let all of their leaders go? Rabble wouldn't even begin to d...

Re: Looking forward and Positive
I don't get it that people still Milera will be a good player. He will only ever be a good VFL player. He will never be more than a battler at AFL level. I disagree. I thought Milera was very good on Friday night - showed very tidy disposal and seems to be thinking his game through more than in the...

Re: May not be popular
Pretty much it. It was a current top4 team against bottom 4. How many bottom 4 teams did we beat up when we were top4. Quite a few (and could have been more without defensive gameplay) It's not about winning. Its about effort and some poise. We had effort but the skills were awful. We were capable ...

Re: Nicky Dal recruit of the year
I think a lot of people overlook one of the most important things to come out of Dal leaving, aside from bringing in a big defender and getting a lower draft pick , it's also freed up vital salary cap space.

Re: The club should issue an apology
That game yesterday was completely unacceptable. It was one of the worst defeats in the club's history. If you want a club ending loss, you need look no further than that game. Who would want to become a member of this rabble, if they are going to play like that? The club, coach, players should apo...

We'll be going, but will just turn up and buy general admission for the $25 - not paying those Ticketmaster robbing b@stards an extra $7 each just for the privilege of using my own ink to print my own ticket... + on the remote chance of us not getting in, we'll just go to the Royal Melbourne and dri...

Re: Can't believe people target those who give a stuff....
No one enjoys a flogging like that, but, it is what is going to happen to us every now and then as we rebuild. Personally, I wasn't confident today, in fact worried something like this would happen, Adelaide wanted to win badly, were much bigger bodied and as quick as we are. Also factor in last we...

I think firstly, we all want the win every week - without exception. At this stage, I'll accept a fighting loss but nothing less - doesn't want mean I want to see us lose though. But being realistic, we're currently not within a bull's roar of the top 8 so the next best thing to wanting us to win, i...

Re: Time to go Clinton Jones
And this is why being a saints fan annoys me! Because of idiot supporters that want a premiership but can't make hard decisions to get one. Many supporters thought getting ridding of Goddard, Dal Santo and Mcevoy meant that our support staff had moles trying to make us lose by getting rid of a good...

Re: Does this read familiar???
While Sticks Kernahan is still involved in making big decisions at Carlton they are in strife. I freely admit I do enjoy watching the old grey Malthouse meltdown on the TV during a match and then proceed to be prickly to the press afterwards. In comparison with our breath of fresh air in Richo we a...

Re: Creating a new forward
The one major factor we have in our favour now, is that Richo is recognised as being excellent at developing the young blokes.
So hopefully we can look forward to seeing some of these developing forwards step up and show us something as this season wears on.

What a cr@p thread!
OP is obviously one of those "Kick it up the guts" type you see every week at the footy.
Would have Jonesy in the red white and black 100 times over, compared to the heartless types of Bryce Gibbs or Jack Watts.

Once again showed his value to the Club while the rest of us tap away on our computers nit-picking his every move. He always gives his all; tonight he was outstanding. Clubs might start tagging him instead if the other way around. Great game CJ. Spot on. Absolute workhorse and must be a coach's dre...

Re: So how did people rate Delaney's game?
I thought he got better as the game went on, probably just needs to become more familiar with the game style that Richo wants him to play and he should be right. Just as importantly IMO, him being in the side allowed Jimmy to get off the chain a bit more than he has in the recent past. I think this ...

This kid is going to be a very good player for us. He already has what a lot of first year players lack, and that's a big tank. Along with half of our team, he'll benefit greatly by stringing together a good run of consecutive games to get his confidence up....not that he seems to lack much confiden...

Tom was excellent last night.
His second efforts and tackling were a bonus for a big guy.
If he can keep up this kind of improvement as the season wears on, we'll be ahead on the McEvoy deal by the end of the year.
I just hope he's as durable as McEvoy was.

Re: Gloomy outlook in heartland
Tassie footy followers are victims of geography and having too small a population to fit the model "marketing demographic". Well, yes, that's exactly right. They'd draw 17-20,000 on a good day and 10,000 on a bad day - and that's for the next 50 years. Not to mention that most Taswegians ...
