Re: Official Trade Rumours thread (all in here please)
Ameet Bains on Trade Week Radio: "Every primary list player is contracted" "Misconception out there that we're trying to move guys on" "Trigger in his clause (NDS) has been activated" Said that we can still move away from that contract and be a free agent. "Not one...

Question about Dal and Free Agency
Has Dal's clause in his contract definitely been activated?
If not, could we possibly receive a 1st round compensation pick, like we did for Goddard? Which would mean we receive pick 4.
Wishful thinking?

Re: Official Trade Rumours thread (all in here please)
Dal to NM -> Delaney + Pick 25 to Saints Pick 25 + Fisher to GWS -> Bruce + Pick 10 to Saints Effectively Pick 10, Delaney and Bruce for Dal and Fisher Hope Pelchen can get something like this done IMO would need a hell of a lot more than Fisher to get pick 10. Fair point, McEvoy instead of Fisher?...

2014 - a make or break year for many
Arryn Siposs Had the responsibility of filling Goddard's role thrust upon him leading up to 2013, a role he was probably not quite ready for, as we found out during the season. Arryn turns 21 in November and I would think he'd really want to cement himself in the senior team in 2014. He spent most ...

BT is the best footy journo on TV. He told us Saad lived in GT's garage. Amazing insight. I never knew Jack Steven was from Lorne, and another product of the Geelong region footy factory. Hang on. Geelong factory; garage; there's something I can't put my finger on... What's the connection? Damn...F...

Re: Our last ten years' pre-season draft picks.
2003 - pass, was a very weak draft, fisher a big win. 2004 - pass, another very weak draft, managed to get a good player in gwilt and serviceable player in mini 2005 - fail, watts trade really hurt us, after that we didn't have much to work with. 2006 - fail badly, could have picked up some gun KPP ...

D.Thomas, Ellis or White the only players i'd look at in the free agency. Trading and drafting has to be our main focus this offseason.

Re: Why does Siposs play, yet Ledger can't get a game?
Ledger is not in the team because he is a horrible user of the footy. He may get 30 touches a game in the VFL but the majority of them are ineffective.

Slow starts
Seems to be a recurring theme throughout the season, obviously happened again tonight.
Is it poor pre match planning? Or do the players just not come ready to play?

Re: Tonights positives
Saunders impressive all game, goes in hard and has some pace
Steven second half was superb, especially last qrt
Newnes great second half
McEvoy brilliant all game, went forward effectively and kicked some goals.
Curren pretty good when he came on.

Re: Game thread v Port
One thing i've noticed, all our players spend too much time looking at each other pointing and giving out directions, where as port know exactly what they are doing and just get on with it. That was probably our 2nd worst qrt for the year right then, pathetic.

Very average side are collingwood, talk about them making the top 4 was laughable.
