Re: To FB or not to FB

A fullback, he ain't. Not yet as he hasn't played a single game there. Not sure why people are so deadset against trying it, I would prefer him forward too, but we have nothing to lose in trialling him down back, could give him some education for playing forward. Injuries, he already gets them, so ...

Re: Raph Clarke plays on

The club should seriously look at employing X, Raph and Gilbert as directors of an indigenous youth academy. Disgrace that with all this bulldust about international recruiting that no club has explored doing something like this - would be an awesome development.

Re: Don't Write Us Off

Firstly I doubt a reporter would change their mind on a player because the club were furious because I doubt the club would even bother contacting the writer but I do know a couple of people in recruiting so I could find out if I could be bothered which I cant. Doubt is not good enough and I didn't...

Re: Are you excited?

But with that said, the last time I had such low expectations was before the 2009 season. We don't look like contenders, but if everything clicks among the group you never know what will happen. Great point. I remember sitting with some friends on a stinking hot February day at Princes park watchin...

Re: Thinking outside the box

I'd like to see us set up an indigenous academy for players from remote areas. Put Gilbert McAdam and the Clarke brothers in charge and look seriously at ways of bringing the likes of Amos Frank to St Kilda. This could be huge for the club and would make a great extension of the whole 'academy' idea...

Look at the list - half of them have Aussie parents. His dad is English. Not unless he has a step dad. His dad is an Aussie. As you said please check the facts first. He isnt Welsh SB. His parents maybe from somewhere else but all you have to do is speak to him to work out he is Australian. From Wi...

Re: Will Barry, Stewie or Nick make the team

Why does Nic Nat make the squad but James Gwilt does not? English Father, New Guinean Mother - poorly researched rubbish. The use of 'multicultural' is wrong here - this should be called the 'ethnic diversity' team of the century or some other bland PC term - multiculturalism is about ALL cultures -...

Why aren't we chasing this guy? or are we? Club has stated they want a midfielder - seems Eagles supporters really rate him.

Re: Poor Tommy

Is going to regret leaving the saints big time. Looking desperatly for a big key defender, which he could have been. Now the Swans have won the flag with a very solid backline, now looking at getting tippett to boost their forward line. If only he stayed with us he would of probably played 6+ games...

Please take it Brendan. All our best wishes. Re: If we lose bj.... Was thinking what we could do come tra

I'm with you on Mitch Brown. A Victorian lad who is turning 24 in December. He has spent 6 years on West Coast's list so he has the body. (195cm, 94kg). Was a first round draft pick in 2006 so there is obviously some talent there. However he is quite injury prone. He will find it hard to break into...

Re: Geelong has joined the queue for Goddard

If he goes, whilst in theory I'd understand his decision to chase the big bucks, it would still REALLY PISS ME OFF - he has been paid handsomely and the fact is, he has TOTALLY UNDERPERFORMED for the last few years. In fact at times he has carried on like a petulant brat out on the ground and we all...

And why the hell is this in Marin Blakes article in the age? "In his last season for St Kilda in 1998, Winmar played 23 games and kicked 16 goals but was criticised during the match against Carlton in round 20 after spending much of the game fighting opponents, finishing with only eight disposa...

Gram & Joey our most valuable trade bait - do it!

Both could (possibly?) still command First or second round picks, and both can (definitely) be covered by young guys coming through.

Keep BJ at all costs and give him the responsibility of VC and force him to grow up under Roo (who should be captain until retirement).

Do it...!

Milnes 50 against O'Brien

I've just watched the replay - that umpire should be suspended for the rest of the season . He gave the 50 against Milne for "unacceptable language" - since when is bad language a 50 m penalty? He does not make any indication that it was directed at him (becuse it wasn't) only that "t...
