Bernard, I guess it's like those old rego stickers. The ones that are transparent so that from the outside it doesn't look like a sticker but more like the symbol as part of the glass. If you ever see the Collingwood one you'll know what I mean. I'd love a StKilda one similar. I'll see if I can find...

Back to the original post. Hird was an incredible player. Similar to Harves in some respect. Intelligent, courageous and a dedicated clubman. I have always admired James Hird and his summation on Harves reinforces what I think of him. Take note of what these types of people say about Harves. That's w...

This is incredible. We need something like this as a permanent fixture. Lots of photos I hadn't seen or had forgotten. The most troubling one was the look on his face at the Blight sacking Press conference. It's like "not again" I wish we could have given him so much more than he has given...

Yep, It's the one that sticks from the inside. No gum on the back. The Pies one looked really good and is there long term out of the weather. A nice StKilda one with Fortius Quo Fidelius underneath would be something I'd proudly put on the everyday car. Even in Cat country. Would look nice on the ba...

I really urge you all to go there and meet Harves. He is incredibly approachable and easy to talk to. We went there in July and got the signed jumper for my daughter for free when I bought the team of the century jumper. See avatar. He spent around 30 minutes with us and wanted to talk more about us...

Car transfer sticker like the Pies ?

Today I saw a nice inside window transfer of the Collingwood FC on the back window of a ute. Now I'm no more a fan of the Pies than any of us but I like these inside transfers that look a part of the glass. It looked great to be honest. It was an old school symbol with the dreaded Magpie in the cent...

Harves retirement was not due to family pressure or the coach/club. When we met him at Harvery Warne Hamill in early July just after the Freo game and I asked him... " I don't expect you to tell me if you'll play next year but could you tell me if there is just 1% chance you will ?" I was ...

Thanks for taking the time to recall that memory !
Really well described.

Wouldn't a dvd of Harvey Highlights be good ?
Is that particular play on any dvd now ?
I must go check Youtube now :-)

Wouldn't get to worried about it. It takes all sorts of opinions to make up the world.

Ask Plugger how good a kick Harves was !

Certainly hit him on the chest enough.

I doubt they will. Not through lack of respect but more so something to try and diffuse their problems of this week. Besides it's not actually his last game. If you want something to make you burst with pride read the "Robert Harvey Appreciation" thread on Bigfooty. Started by a Cat fan an...

Very nice Pwoit !
Love it.

Harves just epitomises Strength Through Loyality.

No reference to the Pies current problems would be appropriate on the banner.
Let's keep it positive and keep the focus on Harves.

I think the 35 and Strength Through Loyality is just fantastic !
Possibly might be better with the great man's name in large letters as well though.

I'd say all members should get the text if their mobile number is listed.

Very nice touch from the Club in my opinion.

And one that stirs up some pride in us to go and support the boys.

Listening to KB on SEN I thought it was interesting to hear that Nick Reiwoldt and others had been trying to talk Harves into going on again next year.
I think Nick takes the fact Harves hasn't got that Flag personally.

Well we all know that inevitable. I just heard Harves speech announcing his retirement in StKilda's last game this year. There is still hope it could be the ultimate ! Which end our cheersquad at the G ?

Apologies if there is a thread on this but I can't see one.
We are trying to get seats in a Saints friendly zone and can get some on level one Punt Road end M7.
Will our Cheersquad be up that end or the city end ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the heads up Saintbrat ! I'll do my best to stay up and watch it now. Our Culture.. something to be proud of

After reading all the smoke and mirrors coming from The Pies over the Heath Shaw/ Allan Didak controversy I can't help but feel proud of our Club role models. Harves.. 21 years and not a SINGLE bit of controversy. He exudes pride and dignity in himself, his club and his family. Luke Ball.. Courageous...

James played a great game today. Lucky he stood up when many others didn't. Isn't that the sign of a good side ? We told him him as much in the Victory room and he fobbed it off with a shrug. A very unassuming character. Nick seemed VERY peeved off. I think it may have been the general team performa...

Luke was a major contributor today as usual. His application to the task is second to none. I only wish Kosi's was the same. Luke is the epitome of a clubman. Unfortunately I fear his year is over the way he was carried off. I don't know who we can replace him for an " in and under" player...

That really is good news. I definatly will buy that book.

Unfortunately I think this news reinforces what he told me a few weeks back. He won't play on.
If only he could have the fairy tale finish with a flag.
