He is the most polished player we have by a long way.
He rarely turns the ball over, gets caught holding it or loses a one on one contest.

Gram, Gilbert and Fiora showed us why Raph is in this team... he can spoil. He gets to contests and puts his fist on the ball even when he's out of position... the other 3 were woeful at this all night. he made a few bad disposals did Raph but he is a quality defender, I think he needs to play furt...

Raph was good tonight for mine.
He was our second best defender behind Max (I know Sam plays down back but doesn't do much 1 on 1 defending.
Raph just needs to get some urgency in his disposal and he will be the real deal, he certainly is not soft, neither Clarke is....

His kicking impressed me tonight, know he didn't get that much of it, but almost the best game he has played for mine.

I accept that watching it on telly I was at a disadvantage, but geez we were lucky to scrape home. I'm still not convinced that Lyon has the on-field structure right. Dal seemed to play most of the game down back, and Joey spent a lot of time down there as well. Gilbert and Gram didn't figure enoug...

Have to agree on this. Can see Kosi, Bakes, Lenny, G, and yes Gardiner and even Armo...but Goose may have some mongrel in him, but the '05 incident with Hall really does eliminate any fear others may have.... We miss Powell and obviously Hamill IMO. Maybe Hayes can become the Powell of 04/05 and Arm...
