29 to 10 free kicks

Not blaming the umpires. We thoroughly deserved that loss. 29 frees against, 10 for. Is that some kind of record? My les foote seems to have all the stats. When's the last time someone was on the wrong end of a 3 to 1 ratio of free kicks against. We were bad, but not that bad!

If AFL sides were movies

Please add your own contributions. I'm sure there's plenty of "gold" out there. Here's the latest line-up. Adelaide: Baz Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet. Audience like to think they're cultured and sophisticated when in reality they're just a bunch of bogans. Brisbane: The Rocky Series. Has ...

Dal Santo and Milne Stats

Just heard the official stats for the scorps today on SEN. Dal Santo 23 possessions, 4 tackles and 0 goals 6 behinds. Makes you wonder which game some other posters on here were watching today. Especially the ones who had Dal getting only 6-8 possessions. The goal kicking is still a worry! Milne 25 ...

He will be the first man to play in the seniors with his son! Bring on Connor Harvey. He'll be eligible for the draft about 2017 I think. Harvs should be up to about 600 by then! The word champion hardly seems sufficient. Poor Danielle. Let's hope she's still a football widow next year!

Ausfatcat, the people I have spoken to about AF are several current and two former staff members. Not an easy man to work for apparently. According to them, there is less atmosphere in the place than on the moon. Not a happy ship by all accounts. I know disgruntled employees always bag the boss, but...

This thread was not started as another "sack Ross Lyon" bitchfest. I don't want him sacked. That would be futile and would only further destabilise the club and playing list. What I genuinely wanted to know was what is it in Ross Lyon's style, methods and philosophies that gives us some ho...

Armitage's performance again highlights his bewildering treatment by the coach and selectors. BTW doesn't everyone including the coach acknowledge our midfiel...

Pick your worst ever saints team!

I thought I might liven things up a bit seeing as most loyal sainters are feeling a bit flat at the moment. Just a bit of fun I had with some mates the other night. As long suffering sainters, who saw our fair share of games in the 80's, we came up with our worst ever side (post 1980). Only qualific...

Positives for Ross Lyon

There seems to be plenty of negative feedback about Ross Lyon on this forum. Most of the posts about him point out what appear to be considerable faults. His defenders seem to attack his critics rather than extol his virtues. For those who defend him, can you state the following: 1. What are his pos...

Spot on WO. I'm also aware of similar research on elite sports people in Europe. Given his history, it wouldn't surprise if he hasn't suffered at least a moderate level of depression in the past. He's had to overcome more than his fair share of obstacles. It must take a toll.

The Giansiracusa hit was unavoidable. Unless he had eyes in the back of his head. He was watching Eagleton and had his head turned away from the oncoming sniper. It happens a lot in football. Worried about Kosi

I know it's been two years since he suffered that shocking head injury, but I think Kosi is still suffering the effects. I see a lot of brain injury victims in my work and I can't help thinking that Kosi is not the player he once was because of the after effects of the clash. In his case, it would o...
