We still have heart and soul players, granted, and quite a number. But to say we are always in good shape, no matter what we pick is plain ignorant. Milne, Clarke, Kosi, Dempster, Schneider, Ray and Dawson (yes, dawson) had lower level games in the Gf. Quality trading will help us maintain a standar...

Our list has been weakened
OUT: Hudgton, X Clarke and Ball Maguire likely These are heart and soul players - and so difficult to replace. I have no problems with Lyon's game plan - it is delivering, but we have lost (or are losing) players who have bled for the club. Our in box is light on. Although Lovett should be good - he...

If you think Kosi is an ordinary player you don't understand the game. He is critically important to our structure and had a good season this year. Kicked over 4 in a game a few times from memory Differing opinions are worthwhile. Because you don't agree, it doesn't mean the other person doesn't un...

We all have differing opinions on players. I, for one, rate Xavier Clarke highly. I think he's a top 10 player for us. But he has had injuries, that is agreed. I believe he will come back a very good player for us. I consider him markedly better than his brother. Although he has been unreliable in f...

Was Zac Ill Prior To The Game?
The strong whisper prior to the game starting, was that Zac had been on a drip for several hours the night before the game and this morning. It sounded like he had been ill. There was no apparent media report of this.

If you think about it is possible the origonal poster of this thread started the rumour/suggestion. Which could've been his intention all along. Thanks for the welcome to saintsational, ausfatcat. The story of Riewoldt's injury is not disappearing. In fact it continues to be mysterious. Today there was an inference on radio (AW) that he may not be available for some time after the season proper had begun. Yes he may have tendonitis, as Ross Lyon says but the rumours persist. On Friday some so...

The AC connection was not part of this picture. There was genuine concern that he had done his knee. Lyon had heard it even though it had not been reported! That in itself was, and is interesting. I sincerely hope Lyon is giving us the truth, and that this is not hamillgate revisted Just the same, ...

Where did the suggestion that Riewoldt had done an ACL come?
It was interesting to read Ross Lyon's statement, "I can tell you bona fide there is no ACL injury [to Riewoldt]." I am glad that Lyon wants to put this to bed, but this story seems to have its origins from within the club.
