Also, your views on Religion are not wanted here. Only your views on weather football should be played on Good Friday. Weather football, if it's sunny and warm then No, but if it's raining then yes that would keep within the solemnity of the day. Suppose i'll have to suppress all my views as you ar...

I'm in favour of expansion, although i think the new clubs should be located where there is an interest in Afl instead of being foisted on where there is no interest. We all know about Tasmania's campaign for a team, and i think their population will grow. i think Fremantle despite a new and very un...

Take exception to the suggestion that we have to thank religion for the december 25th and Easter Public holidays. The celebrating and holidaying occurred at these times of year long before christianity was invented. Religion hijacked the solstice celebrations the turning point from shortening to len...

Missed set shots could have cost the game last night. Fraser's 3 out of 3 difficult set shots against Richmond, show he is still a class above in this department and should be an automatic choice for the side. Just didn't make sense for him to retire last year in round 22, and now hope to see him pl...

PaulRoos' or Saints' approach to the Nab cup for Rd1 victory

It's obvious Paul Roos throws the Nab cup, but not for match fixing mainly to lessen the chance of injuries. I don't think St kilda will lose to the swans in round 1, but if they do i will blame the extended run in the NAb cup quite readily. It would be interesting to know of the benefeits (other th...

Glad someone's on the ball with recent history, i too swore blind that sirengate was in tassie. Was totally confused as to what history we were hoping to repeat itself. Another thread mentions that we're playing the same 4 teams in the pre season comp in the year we won it. This does not mean we wil...

Disappointing to discover the Age is a sponser of the saints. Can't be any impartiallity in the match reports as of result. Also the c**k up with the ad reflects the age newspaper as a whole. i Trust the Age even less than other media, a lot of air brushing and economy with the truth going on in tha...

The NAB cup a half hearted affair all round. Half the teams are not interested, half the players go in half hearted (injuries much worse than defeat) and the attendance is half of what would attend a real game . Impossible to tell where the teams are at with this competition and Adelaide is too far ...

Gehrig is one of the rare players i go to see play almost as much as i go to see the team play. So hopefully he will play in the first round and all the way up to the grand final. One of the few characters in the game.

NRL chief David Gallop declares war on the AFL

It seems as if the NRL are upset with the AFL's expansion plans into Western Sydney and are counteracting with expansion plans of their own, even into the AFL territory of Perth. As i see it the first battle, on the Gold coast has been won by the NRL, as they have a team that's now moved into a supe...

Richmond's problem is Wallace. I think they have the players to scrape a finals berth, but only if they pay off Wallace. Wallace is similar toPagan at Carlton and not a Bomber Thompson at Geelong (with their 2007 turnaround). Better for Richmond to sack Wallace now, than at the stage in a season Pag...

Dees clash jumper almost perfection. Should be a red and blue striped sash accross a white background. The way to go with thunderbird jumpers. Saints in desperate need of a new clash jumper.

I do like the short sleeved white training top, will buy one. Smaller and fewer sponser logos the better on tops too, just take a look at the NRl tops, makes it hard to tell the clubs identity as they're covered in so many logos. She was convinced that WCE should have more games at home to even up the "unfair imbalance" of them having to travel 9 times a year. Where do you go with that? Surely they travel 10 times in a home and away season. If you want people to agree with your hatred of WCE, don't be liberal with ...
