What's the harm in resting the odd key player (no more than one or so) each week? It's not flirting with your form. I would like to see Riewoldt at 110% for a Grand Final. Not 90%. He might be flying now, but there's still another 9-10 matches to play. Geelong looked cooked in last year's GF after ...

i wouldn't be take them lightly. they beat us twice last year and came within a kick of beating the cats earlier this season. they went close to a grand final berth last season. they are talented and well coached. having said that, i think we're a better side with better structure. the loss of kosi...

Don't think we have done that badly considering last years result (very few people expected us to be a force this year). Hawthorn had 31000 members in 2007, they won the first 9 games last year which made a lot of members sign up. Hawthorn however don't have the 'fail and struggle' tag that we have....

Theirs a difference between resting and not playing players because of niggles. Does it really look like Roo, Montagna, Hayes or Fisher need a rest (especially considering they had one a month ago)? We just smashed a team who before this round was ranked top 3 in the comp (based on stats), they scor...

I think another reason for RL's constant underdog comments is to also drill it to the team that there is no easy game, I reckon he publicly points out the challenges so the boys don't get content and think they can just win, it's like he's saying 'ok, they have a big advantage here so you guys have...

They're nothing more then pretenders, and won't get any better any time soon. Not without a least 1 genuine key forward.....ideally 2.....and I don't see anything that suggests a key forward is coming through the ranks at the kennel anytime soon The cats have shown you don't need a key forward. I heard this the other day it in all honesty it sounded plausible and might just work.... It goes along the lines of Luke Ball knowing that even after his best pre-season since joining the club he still can't win the battle against his groin. With st.Kilda, being in the best position they've been i...

This came from a Mitch Hahn interview on AFL.com: "It's an opportunity to go out there and see where we're at six weeks from finals. We've still got a lot of improvement and we'll find out how much we've improved since the last time we played them." Hahn said the Dogs would need to lift t...

Even if Kosi, Dawson and Gardi are all out on Saturday night, I think the Bulldogs will still have plenty to worry about. Like, if they watched our game on Sunday, they'll probably be wondering if they'll ever get the ball out of our forward line! (Especially since we beat them in a canter earlier ...

This week, Dal mentioned a tiny bit in an interview in the pregame show on foxtel. Saying he thinks Ball will be back this week, or something to that effect. His reason for him being out was the same as Hutchison gave, 'spoken to coaches on what needs to be done' blah blah. = kick up the bum.... or...

Re: Club making statement on player performance - Good.

- He is injured. Yep, the poor guy has a broken leg, broken arm, no groin and a mentally debilitating disease. Considering his recent history with his groin, and his extremely low game times over the past two weeks... As well as the fact that secrecy has basically surrounded his injury worries over...

Obviously he is injured or rested. If he was dropped which he wouldnt be he would be an emergency. if he was dropped for form, why woiuld he be in there as an emergency, sounds to me. like they are speaking the truth. Well that before i heard Hutchinson but why wouldnt he be an emergency. Maybe the...

Re Raph: he didn't have as good a game as you have suggested, RF. But he certainly wasn't as terrible as others have posted. Re Eddy: I agree with you. Hard working, extremely fit, strong tackler with little else in the way of AFL standard skills. I would suggest to those who think he is better tha...

After Geelong i'd hope our focus would be 100% on West Coast, as they showed against the Hawks...their not a bad team, and at home they're even better.. With respect, the Hawks were appallingly awful... slow, skilless, predictable, lazy... Dogs will kick a cricket score this week. Did you actually ...

If anyone is keeping Maguire out I reckon it's Sam Fisher. Decision making has not improved this year. Almost all indicators have dropped. Bottom 4 in the team for tackles - McEvoy lays more tackles. The team has taken a quantum leap and left Sammy behind. I really wonder what's going on with our r...

The RL mantra of why change has been good in the run up to Sunday . but sore bodies and the lessons learned from Sunday will be two good reasons to think long term as to what we will need come September. Re: "Hot Cats learn a grand lesson" Heraldsun

As Kevin Sheedy told Superfooty yesterday in predicting a Geelong premiership: "The Cats will win it. Nothing surer. It would be unforgivable for Geelong to lose two in a row. They would have to live with themselves for the rest of their lives." Now that's pressure. How they handle it, st...

If Roo can't beat Taylor then we may as well start rebuilding a new team now... He's not only our captain, our hope and our leading goal scorer but the most influential player in our team. Showed it against the Hawks (H&A) last year, but i'm a little worried about his performance against the top...

They didn't lose to West Coast because of lack of personnel...

West coast just fought like their lives were on the line, they ran harder and supported each other better.

They look to be lacking spirit.
