Brett Voss on SEN re: his brother's article

They just interviewed Brett Voss on SEN who is at the game tonight with regards to his brothers article and he thought half his former teamates dont know how to play as team and aren't willing to sacrifice for each other - he didn't name names however he did mention Baker as the perfect example as a...

Disagree entirely with all of you, Reiwoldt was the right choice for captain and has shown this with everything he has done and the way he has crried himself and represented the club, on and off the field. Lenny Hayes is a great leader and can continue to be a great leader without the mantle of cap...

I think that is the point neither Devil nor myself think that Roo is not a super player it is just that Lenny seems to be captain material than Roo. wouldnt dare take anything away from Roo as a player! Yep - no doubting his ability as a player - that's one aspect that comes naturally - though he c...

Reiwoldt should NOT be Captain

I might cop a bit of crap for this but I feel that Roo was the wrong choice for Captain. Now there is nothing wrong with Roo's endeavour or heart or pride for the jumper but I just dont think he is a natural leader. A natural leader has an instinctive abiliity to immediately inspire people around th...

We had quite a few rushed behinds though, 5 I think. At least two of those were touched on the line including one from Montagna (could have been Gram) from 35 out which for him was a gimme and sure its a bit academic and sure "we need to improve our kicking" however percentages don...

Bottom line is and the point I was trying to make is that if you have 25 or more scoring shots you are likely going to win and considering we had 29 against the leagues best defence and midfield it is one positive we can take out of the game.

What i'm saying is that we missed a lot of shots because of the crap entries to the 50, which is a reason for the amount of shots we had. So missing a set shot is due to a crap entry into the 50 area or missing a shot running into an open goal must mean that we entered the 50 in a crappy way :? I d...

The statistics aren't true of how the game was played. I never said otherwise What the statistics do say is that we had 30 or so scoring shots which in 38 attempts is more than any other side has had when playing Geelong. This is a positive considering they have perhaps the best midfield and defenc...

Scoring Shots vs Geelong

Don't know if it has been brought up however not since Round 13 2006 when Geelong played Adelaide has a team had more scoring shots against Geelong (Adelaide had 42 that day) We had 29 scoring shots (32 if you count the 2 out on the full and Bally's 35m miss in the last) This is a good sign against ...

Baker coming back will add a bit of hardness but seriously we used to hurt teams with ferociousness and attack at the ball - in 2004 and 2005 we were renowned for it alas now it is seriously lacking - there is no one on the field that makes you walk 10 foot taller like Hamill did - we need to get so...

Toughness and Hardness

This team used to be tough and hard and feared however unfortunately we haven't been able to replace guys like Powell, Hamill and Black who were hard at the ball and strong over the ball The amount of times Geelong broke our tackles tonight to get a handball away was embarrasing whereas we would get...

We also had 2 out on the full from 30m out in the last quarter - so we actually had just as many scoring shots

Oh yeah and Ball didn'tmake the distance from 35m out on the run and it was off target anyway
