Re: We won the last quarter - PLEASING!!!
Not hard to win a last quarter when you have been obliterated for 3 quarters and the opposition is on the bus home. Today shows how far we actually are of the pace. Get games into the younger brigade. Have a decent look at some of the list cloggers and work out what we need to take the next step. We...

Re: McCartin to the backline?
teaching him how to playu in the backline would be good. Gehrig became a good player because of his time in the backline. However currently with zero tank, almost no agility and realistically just passable strength he would get absolutely monstered if he played in the backline. Buddy would wet his p...

Re: Contenders Or Pretenders?
We are a developing team. Very immature. Richo main job will be to build a base for the players confidence. We can't have them believing the hype. I can't remember a team pumped up so much by the media after a big win. Last night they turned up expecting to win. Same went for the Melbourne game. Exp...

He was dreadful tonight. Watching some of the replay of his ruck efforts i could see what he was trying to do however with the saints being so flat he didn't get the support he needed. However around the ground he was up there the best players on the ground...... Shame it would be in Essendons best ...

Re: Can we buy a goal????
Great game. Evened the ledger for goal kicking after last week's shamozzle. We are back on track to get the worst ever kicking for goal record. After 21-12 last week i didn't think we could get it back on track. Well done boys...

Re: Billy Longer - Best game yet?
At the game the other night and turned to my tigers supporter mate and said "if longer kicks this Goal the tigers are cooked as it will be the first time i have seen Longer kick the ball".
Good to see he can actual kick and not only handball.
Best game by a mile.

Re: St.Kilda's accuracy in front of goal - An incredible sta
Does anyone have a record of the worst kicking on record? Currently sitting at 171 goals and 202 points. Which equates to an astonishing 45.8% accuracy. Glad they don't count the number that fell short or the players didn't have the balls to take the game on and back themselves. I can't remember a t...

Bugg to use the Mortein defence. He represents bugs of all types including the most hated spiders. Luie the fly has a character reference on how he he been supportive in the community during trying times. The tribunal to concur and reduce the penalty from 6 weeks to 3. However the AFL will appeal us...

Re: Longer - say it loud and proud
Trade Bait - Longer - No one would be interested. The game has moved past a tap only ruckman. He is ok in ruck contents but not dominant enough to justify as his only attribute Gilbert - Good as a secondary ruck against other secondary rucks. Against a Sandilands it would be a David and Goliath batt...

win 12 and we deserve to be there . ...
and if we dont win the 12 we dont deserve the spot.
On the current form (even with 2 wins in a row) we are miles off.
We have neither the game plan or talent to get far in September at the moment

Re: "Basher" Houli straight to tribunal
that was reckless and not malicious. Players throw arms back like that regularly to avoid niggling. Houli just managed to connect perfectly. Probably deserves 2 weeks (although 3 would be better). AFL tribunal has been doing the 'Good Boy' - 'Bad Boy' for years. Steven Baker 11 weeks for a couple of...

Re: Longer - say it loud and proud
Seriously, what has happened to the ruckman in AFL. We have three on our list that have the best football attribute as being 'tall'. Longer, Pierce and Homes have zero talent in finding the ball around the ground let alone actually being able to kick it if it does fall in their lap. I am not so much...

Re: Kicking for goal
It is simple. They dont practice enough. Finally Riewaldt is getting it right. But he is the only one. Every other player goes to water when they get out in front. You can see the clod shiver that runs through their body. Therefore they go too far back for their run up. They then bob, prop and hop o...

Re: How many more can we win this season?
12 wins should make it.
We need tho beat the tigers at least once by my calculation
wins
Freo
WC
Ess
North
Losses
Sydney
Melb
Port
Leaving the saints having to beat the tigers at least once

This type of talk really annoys the hell out of me. If you sell your home games you are selling your soul. I shouldnt need to say anything more, however I will give some ideas to this. It is a CLUB, clubs are for members. The Club should be in the business of winning Premierships. This is very diffe...

He runs through the middle smashing bashing his way through. Love the way he is hard at it. Still butchers it on occasion.

Can ruck
Unfortunately ... cant
Mark
Kick
Handball
And for a big man has zero presence on the field ... other than in a ruck contest.
Shame really... because he does give first use of the ball.

Re: Try Savage forward
Great idea. I can't understand whySavage is hated so much. He turns the ball over abit, yes, but he is one off the few that take the game on. Whilst many many of our players are more than happy to handball back into the pack... hot potato style... Savage actually breaks the lines. Without his run of...
