Re: NZ teen signed by Saints

We have some work to do the New Zealand side runs with the nickname "Hawks" and I note that the balls being used in the video were Hawthorn footballs.

Re: Bill Davoren must go

Just a thought but maybe he was at the Bulldogs and Saints when they were beginning to slide down the ladder due to natural decline.

Where we finish has nothing to do with the fitness guy unless we were not physically prepared to play, ie not able to run out games.

I think Brett Voss's son Jackson made the Vic Primary School team this year.

Peter Freeman's son is a good player, but of course not eligible under father son, have seen him play at Mt Eliza.

Re: Has Ledger already committed elsewhere???

His skills are ordinary, he throws the ball on boot with out looking a lot of the time. Sometimes that is because he is in a pack situation but I have watched a lot of Sandy this year and he gets the ball so much but to me panics and rushes his disposal most of the time. Other thing I noticed is tha...

Re: Milera

Happened near where I was standing, to suggest he got injured because he does not like being tackled is absolute crap. As he tends to do tried to take the tackler on and got nailed, ball dropped in the tackle then it looked like both he and the tackler went to ground with his leg pinned under. He wa...

Re: Milera

Absolute myth that he canot play in the midfield, he came to us a winger.

Have watched him start ins the centre square for Sandy and tear it up.

Is a much better player up the ground than as a small forward, if he does not make it it will be because he does not have the required intensity.

Re: To the players

As a manager I encourage people to speak up ask questions, question decisions. It is part of a healthy working environment but once they have done that if the decision is not changed then you have two choices accept the decision and move on or if the decision is something you oppose so badly step as...

Re: Our Ruckwork

Doyle played AFL as a key forward more often than not, but was able to play VFl I think with Dandnong as a ruck man and was a very good user of his body. He also played a heap for Rye as a ruckman and was successful. You do not have to have been a gun AFL player to make a good coach. Whilst the stan...

Having sat behind a member of the football department at Sandy last week and heard his commentary to an assistant coach about Hogan I doubt we would give an early draft pick for him.

If you are going to have a crack and suggest bias at least get the facts correct.

Maister is from Claremont and having watched a bit of Ledger there are real issues with his kicking.

Hickey, Webster, Stanley, Wright, Newnes, Roberton, Dunnell and Ross.

Plus Maister and Dennis- Lane all under fifty games how many kids do you want in the side at once?

The equal most debutants of any club this season.

Re: team- Rd 11 vs Eagles

I reckon what Watters is looking for each week is a mix between experienced and inexperienced players. No point simply playing kids and having them thrashed each week and banged up, therefore guys like Maister and Jones will get some games. If Watters is having to try and save his job then the Direc...

Re: BT taken to task

If there is a commentator who gets more players names wrong then I have not seen him.

Spends more time bagging Richo than calling the game.

Not that hard a skill to get players names right.

Maybe he should read the players number as well as where they come from.

Greg Jones from Swan Districts played a game or two early nineties.

Ian Dargie who went back west and won at least one Sandover Medal possibly two.

On Kosi's performance yesterday he is a liability. Slow was out bodied could not read the fall of the ball and is unable to provide any forward pressure whatsoever. Really felt for him yesterday as it looked like the game had passed him by. If picked for round one then there is no integrity in selec...

Re: Why BJ left St.Kilda: Facts

My first post on Goddard's defection. Reckon it was the best for all parties, as for why he left I could not care less. But he's not a good midfielder but an outstanding half bank flank quarter back. To be a good midfielder you need to be a good clearance player, good contested ball winner and defen...

Re: Cripps requests trade to West Coast

Waste of a draft pick, miss out on Jack Darling to draft him to then find out he has diabetes. Gets compartment syndrome writing off his first season, then wants out after the second. Might be handy playing at Subiaco, but from what I have seen he needs to toughen up and work on his decision making.

Have not seen him play, but to write him off due to having been around for four years is a nonsence.

Terry Milera was around in the SANFL for at least that long with a significant amount of time being at reserve grade level.
