I don't think it matters if it's fair to other gun players or not. If that's what it takes, that's what it takes. Some of those other players also had the opportunity to join us and take the money.

Re: Monster deal for Dylan Shiel
http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-10-05/top-draft-pick-not-part-of-any-shiel-deal-saints I was surprised but happy to hear this. We're pretty much guaranteed to pickup a top 5 18 year old and may or may not get Shiel. I'm guessing he's not choosing us anyway. ST KILDA has declared its first selection ...

Re: We are a laughing stock
Apparently at the presentation Lethlean offered Shiel a drink, "tea, water, anything you want Dylan, we've got it!" Anyway Dylan asked for a coke, but they didn't have any and all the staff had gone off on break, so Lethlean ducks off to 7-11 to grab some but got lost and couldn't find hi...

I like the fact Saints are at least trying. North was supposedly laughed for trying for Kelly, Martin, etc. Now, they are going to get Polec, Hall, and a couple of other mid rangers. Saints are getting... No harm in having a go. I agree though that Saints have left their runs too late and half hear...

I reckon stuff it Go with the three that we apparently are linked to, trade out a few, eg Sinclair, for good round two picks and run through some of these high end trades next season when the opportunities arise We must be getting close with some much better coaching coming up and make sure our bet...

Re: We are a laughing stock
I know who was in our pitch and how and what we presented. I also know what Carlton did in depth and Hawthorn. We cannot attract quality to our club at the moment because we can't sell anything that people want. I'm sorry to be negative, I would love to be positive if there was something to be posi...

Re: We are a laughing stock
Is the silver lining that we get a very good 18 year old midfielder in Bailey Smith? A North supporting friend of mine said they have had the same trouble drawing in top players for a number of years also. Now that they're moving up, they look likely to be getting Gaff. Hopefully we can start risin...

Re: Jack Steven to Sydney??
The exit interview Jack had makes perfect sense to me. If we were about to start a new rebuild, there would be no point him sticking around. We would stay at the bottom for another 4 years and when we come back up, Jack would be just about ready to retire. Thankfully the club assured Jack that we we...

Agree, Stuv is definitely A grade. Finished higher than Shiel for those saying Shiel is a much better player.
Amazing effort by Angus Brayshaw getting 3rd place at only 22 years of age. And to think he could have been on our list :/.

The debate is over and the answer is De Goey. I would love to have DeGoey. Go to the thread from near the start of the year. When Degooey wasn’t contracted and we were looking at him. The amount of numb skulls on here who didn’t want a bar of him because of a couple of indescrepancies was ridiculou...

As others have said, only for a top 5 pick if we could guarantee to draft a star player. Otherwise I'd prefer to keep him. Hopefully he keeps playing well into his 30s.

Re: The Flux Report: Back to school Hannebury homework round
Great post. I agree with all of it except Paddy. We will never get back what we paid for him and I would rather see what sort of player he will become then get an 18 year old pick 20+. He may never work out, but pick 20+ just isn't worth it IMO. He has shown glimpses which makes me think it's possib...

Pies a playing a pretty awesome game. Great for big Cox to have such an impact when it was on the line. Completely destroying the tigers. Goes to show you what money can do. Pies draft Cox who helps them to a grand final. We get rookie after rookie and none of them work out.
