Re: Let's Talk About the Elephant In the Room
I think KIng is a great talent and will get only better and it would be dumb to trade him out. Just wait and see how he goes in a good side surrounded by gun players. It’s important, though, that we don’t become too one dimensional by always going to him, particularly when he’s got two guys on him. ...

Re: Windhager
Tagging seems to bring out the best in him where he not only beats his opponent, but wins a lot of his own ball as well.
Who was it he did a job on against Pies? De Goey?

Jon Ralph, heraldsun.com.au Ross Lyon is about to bring some basic and humble cuisine back into the St Kilda midfield when it actually needs a sprinkle of caviar. As Lyon surveyed the wreckage of the Saints’ loss to Melbourne on Sunday, he again bemoaned his decimated midfield and cast his eyes to t...

Re: RTB's Presser today
If they are not up to standard yet (if there’s a more senior player who can do it better) you are not respecting selection integrity by playing them. You can also see how it can cause division in the ranks and angst if there’s no integrity and guys haven’t really earned a spot. Bring them in when th...

He certainly doesn’t look happy in the coach’s box, but he’s got another two seasons after this one to turn it around. Let’s hope he is up for the fight. I’m all for getting games into kids - where deserved - but I reckon he’s got to start insisting on playing our best possible side for the rest of...

Hayes has some knee issue yeah? Anyway What I heard at Q time really pissed me off, and is symptomatic of the problem at StK 9 goals in the first Q and a 2 point lead Coach not happy the free flowing game, wanted to close it down. “It feels like an up and back game, that’s because it is, and that n...

Re: Match Day Demons v Saints
This is getting ugly, but what can you expect? Arguably the best midfield in the comp against one of the worst. I'd like to expect some effort, leadership, and pride in the game. You can do all that, but sometimes it just comes down to class … or lack of it in our case. This is like being back in t...

Re: Which ex saints would you draft?
I was thinking based on biggest needs right now. I.e. no midfield, rather than just the best 4 players. But the greatest player in the game’s history would make a difference to our forward line Crossy. As would Rooey. You could move Max King to second ruck. If it were four midfielders, I’d go Harve...

s***, how could I forget Plugger. Played for us until 1994, so just makes the 30-year limit. How careless of me. So, Lockett, Harvey, Hayes, Riewoldt .

Lenny, Harvey, Goddard, Riewoldt.
Course would like to grab Dal Santo, Gehrig, Milne and a few others. Sam Fisher would go close, but I’d have to pass as he will be available only for home games for the next few seasons.

Re: RoMa in the ruck
Marshall must be operating under instruction when he grabs the ball and hacks it forward. Either that or he hasn’t been instructed NOT to do it. Whichever it is, he’s our only elite midfielder as it stands. I’d have loved to have seen Crouch and Clark added for this week’s game. I’m assuming it’s on...
