Won't ever be as good as Lockett, but if he keeps his head right, he will be remembered as a star like Ablett IMO. no-one's as good as lockett. but ablett was a superstar, not a star. the thing that impressed me about buddy so much yesterday is that he kicked these when they counted ... in a final ...

the fact that he has kicked seven in his first final says to me that he's already a superstar.

not even 21 yet ... scary. the fact that he's kicked them in a final and when it counts says a lot

Re: Only 3 out of the top 8 sides ...

i made this point back in april or may, i think, in a thread called "i've had a gutful of the kick it to roo gameplan" i pointed out that when we looked unbeatable in early 2004 we didn't rely on riewoldt alone to carry the forward line fraser was a major contributer of course but milne an...

okay teflon, so we've established that you reckon we should trade goose for jolly. no. we need goose to hold down chb. he's a very good young (potentially great) key defender who is coming back from a serious injury. though he clearly was a long way from his best in the second half of the season, i ...

But alas ... ask a hard quetion ... still get no answer ... i'd like to give you an answer but i'll admit I don't know enough about jolly. also if he's as good as you say he is why is he on the outer up there? you're obviously thinking maguire. i hope that doesn't happen. Though he was nowhe...

Carl - first official post of your I 100% agree with. Now....quetion time: Say Swans will do a deal for Jolly...but they aint taking Brooks or Phil Raymond....they want something decent as we are getting a good ruckman in his prime......who you gonna give???? i'd be loathe to give up goose, if that...

You have Roo...and Kosi...both quite different players. The 2 can alternate between CHF and FF.....move them around to get the best match up.....and to exploit the flow of the game. agree. gives us both a mobile leading option and a bloke who can take big contested grabs. if that doesn't get around...

kosi, unlike roo or even fraser, has the ability to bust open the flood with big contested grabs. if he can learn to lead and present more often he's a potential match-winning full-forward. we're in the lucky position of having roo who can also play that position well. all we need to do now is find ...

any trade of goose would come back to haunt us. he's likely to recover the sort of form that had us talking him up as an all australian chb and smash us for the next 10 years.

i'm sure carlton would love to have him though. that part of the rumour i reckon is true. the rest is bollocks

I continue to believe strongly that the decision to sack GT last year was misguided and totally wrong. I'm with you on this, too, mb. a very poor decision that has probably cost us a crack at the flag this season. but it's like a relationship bust up and eventually you have to move on whether you l...
