Is "super competitve" enough though? Does that mean if we come 2nd or 3rd for the next three years we should pat everyone on the back? I'd rather win one - then we could bottom out, I couldn't care less. Super-competitive without taking out the big prize - well, that's just being the Bulld...

I agree Big Red - by a long way the worst. Two small positives - Goddard gave his all again and Gwilt continued to cement his position as the team's best defender by a street in my opinion. Not a lot else to get out of yesterday, and it is difficult to see how we can get up off the canvass and impro...

Clinton Jones is the Jack Daniels of the current era. His disposal is almost laughable at times - mind you, he isn't alone. Dempster, Blake, Gilbert, Baker, Peake...the list goes on.

Time to get some genuinely skillful players into the team who actually want to get the footy and do something with it.

I agree. Having the coach actually have a plan to expose our strength (which is clearly Roo - a forward like few other teams possess) would be nice for a change. Yesterday was a clear example. It is as if Ross just gives up and says "Roo is good enough, I'll just let him beat 2 opponents"....

A little harsh Dozer, but I agree with your sentiments on those players you mentioned.

Simply not up to it IMO.

A lot have been saying this for months, but Kosi simply has to go - couldn't care if he is contracted, he is simply not up to it. Milne - depends on whether 2 goals a game from 12 odd possessions is enough for a small forward. Will a replacement do any better? Unsure. Gram - deserves to stay I think...

Horrible error from the captain. For me, the two missed goals from that man again SCHNEIDER either side of half time were the turning points. Yes, we ended up getting belted, but those two go through and suddenly the boys are 15 points down 1 minute into the 3rd quarter and last weeks demons come ba...

Yes - I was there, she was a disgrace. I am not a member of the cheersquad however I was sitting in the bay next to them - she came down and, in front of heaps of young kids, was dropping the 'f bomb' left, right and centre at the top of her voice in a sustained volley of abuse toward the cheersquad...

They said in the media today Ron McKeown was strapped up and ready to go when they told him only hours before the start that he wasn't playing because "they didn't have a match up for him".....WTF???

Like you didn't know that before then?

I too am surprisingly calm about it all this year - there is just a strange confidence and calm about the boys, like they have a secret that no one knows about at the moment - but they all will on Saturday!! Couldn't agree more with the mention on her about Anthony Hudson. Little chuppa-chupp head was disgraceful in my opinion. So biased and negative against the Saints even my wife, who deosn't follow St Kilda and was listening in the background, commented on it. For some reason I epxect more from a com...

Close enough to feel the action and join in the celebrations afterward!

From someone entrenched deep in enemy territory, I can promise you....most Geelong supporters HATE St Kilda.

They would rather lose to Collingwood in the prelim than St Kilda in the big one.

"By the way it is also a free if a player is hit in the head even accidently, by the arm or hand, in a marking contest"......really?

Perhaps we should ask Darren Jolly if he agrees with that....not sure I saw his free kick last weekend.

You duck and weave better then Robert Harvey at his best Plugger. Nice response to the point that was raised - just ignore it! I like that - you should be a politician. Hmmm...noticed the Umpires Apologist Plugger went very quiet when the topic of how many punches landed was brought up?

If ONE was deemed forceful enough, surely all four were.

Another absolute joke - we can only hope that there is a karma god around somewhere this year.

Drilling down????

Is this the buzz word of the moment for Ross or what? Have heard and seen about 5 or 6 different quotes where the coaching staff have "drilled down" to the root of whatever problem they have been talking about at the time.

What the?

Maybe they need a new drill.

I actually don't see the calling of play on as the problem - that is quite simple, if the ump hasn't called play on you can't go near the bloke with the ball. Of course there will be a time-lapse advantage for the guy with the ball, between him playing on and the umpire actually calling it - unless ...

Couldn't agree more. Why are the rules bent for one player? Hang on, not even bent...just completely ignored. How can they possibly justify that? If you run off the line it is play on....I would've thought that was one rule that was pretty easily defined and easy to interpret. If the umpire didn't c...

Irrespective of who the player was.
