Prior to last year I would nominate Lenny as this player - always steady, hard at the ball, great decision making, a real leader with skills to match. Whilst he struggled a little at times last season (understandably), he came into his own again toward the end of the year and I expect him to burn ag...

I agree - I think they will both be great, but it is interesting that Swans supporters seem to think Dempster will be the better acquisition, whereas I think most St.Kilda supporters (including myself) would have the opinion that Schneider was the main man in the deal and Dempster just a bit of a bo...

Had a similar response from a Swan fanatic, who said that Dempster will be the better of the two. His take was that St.Kilda fans (and I include myself in this bracket) possibly overrate Schneider because he always plays well against St.Kilda, but in reality he is not as good as other sides rate him...

Brooks has been a waste of time - and a very frustrating one. Obviously he has shown some potential along the line in order to have the expectations placed on him that were, but in the end he really has been a disappointment. Personally I don't think he will get anywhere at AFL level, but maybe in t...

From speaking to an avid Cats supporter from down here in Geelong, he also decsribes Gardiner as the "lead-up" type forward who might be able to do the hard yards across half forward/centre of the ground, allowing Riewoldt to stay closer to goal and have a bigger impact on the scoreboard. ...

We have agreed on things in the past Joffa, but clearly we don't here. You have a point though, and it's interesting that you make it in the way that you do. CLEARLY Blake must do things that only highly intelligent people like yourself can notice, because the rest of us "Nuffies" only see...

Thoroughly deserving win by Nick, who was ripped off big time on Brownlow Night. His challenge to the incoming board is a ripper, as is the challenge to the players - let's hope this directness has a similar effect to what Chapman's did at Geelong. Just a quick point, and not to be negative on what ...

We should give a stuff. Another example of the AFL giving St.Kilda the rough end of the pineapple right up the kyber. Whilst this year wasn't the best year Roo has had, I think it was still very good and that will be proven on Brownlow night when I expect him to poll very well. That he wasn't named ...

Lenny is one of my favourite players at the club, and it is so rewarding to see him get back to the sparkling form we know he is capable of. He is a fantastic player - hard, tough, exquisitely skilled, great footy smarts, heart and passion for the jumper and always giving 100%. Legend. Pure and simp...

Nice post. I agree with your assessment of where the squad sits, almost entirely. There are some signifcant holes in the team that need some quick filling, in order to make the 'relatively' small step from where we are now genuine top 4 material next year. Can we hang our hat on Gardiner solving the...

Whilst I begrudgingly admire the way they are playing, I couldn't stand it if Geelong win the flag. You oughta try living in the town, listening to all their spanker supporters telling everyone else how they have got it in the bag. Surely they should no better? Credit to them - they are playing grea...
