Yeah, this was one of the few times when I actuallly felt sorry for an opposition team.
Gotta admit the victory felt a little hollow, but I'll take it over a loss.
If Jack Riewoldt or the other rookie (who hit the post) converted, there'd be a few fans dressing in saffari suits for some Lyon hunting.

Re: Was Richo's performance enhanced?
yeah, I thought they battled extremely well whent he pressure was really on. Just Max has been able to contain Richo for pretty everytime they have played on each other.plugger66 wrote:

Was Richo's performance enhanced?
No, I'm not going to say that he looks like he's on the juice  and I won't take anything away from him in that he's playing great footy, but he would have been pretty stoked to have gone out there tonight and not seen a bloke wearing the number 8 jumper for the Saints. How would most of you say...

Has yet to really prove himself in that position except for an exceptional few games two years ago. Don't forget last year at Subi. 6 goals, if I remember correctly. The problem is that he hasn't been given a chance to settle into any permanent position. After a couple of games playing most of the ...

You have a good point. It's good PR for them to put the effort into signing autographs for young fans etc... At least he did sign a couple. I remember when I was about 8 years old running on to the ground (when fans were allowed to) after the game and approaching Plugger to autograph my footy and I ...

We have only beaten port there once and that was in round 22 in 1997 and if they won that night they would have been in the finals in there first year and we won and consolidated top spot on the ladder :D We have John Safran to thank for that one and only win against Port @ Football Park 8-) http:/...

He is probably the only reason why I tune into that show. Like his name sake, he is a straight shooter and has a good dry sense of humour.Solar wrote:Thankgod for archer, up front and sensible!

Pretty rough treatment by the Smelstra Dome people. As a few mentioned before, they have a perfect right to perform and aren't doing any harm, even if they play the club song ad nauseum and won't be a little more creative. Perhaps I should check out their cd to get a better appreciation for them. I ...

Should be made to serve the suspension after he recovers from his broken wrist. Maybe if that was how he broke his wrist. But it's almost a little too convenient that he'll be sidelined with injury anyway during the impending suspension. It's almost as though the AFL are just giving him a slap on t...
