Re: Paddy McCartin

think i saw only two or three times a hint of potential in paddy that had me excited. seen more in parker already, and don't think he will make a career out of it. paddy never did the hard yards to get properly match fit. yes it was a harder struggle for him, but it is what it is - to make it you n...

For his own sake, should not play again, at any level.

And, at risk of sounding churlish, was never going to be good enough anyway.

Quite a compliment to Gresh.

Tend to agree, though

One of Alan Davis’ 10 against Collingwood at Moorabbin was a brilliant drop kick. Talk about nonchalant!

The Jiggster can speak for himself, but, as a staunch follow Evertonian, I’m in regular contact with him. He seems to be doing fine 😊 Staunch Evertonian? The Bitters!! It’s a great friendly rivalry( most times). I was in Liverpool in Feb to see the mighty Reds! Walked across Stanley Park from Anfie...

Watching live I was sure it was a free against Paddy.

Might have been influenced by the fact that he gave away three in space five minutes earlier in the game. Needs to be careful.

Re: Former saint Siposs now a lion.

Love it. Was always fond of him as a player. Still remember that first game he played at the G where he belted the ball around 60 metres straight on to the chest of Roo I think and thinking 'Finally someone who can bloody kick.' Good luck to the man. Remember that well. Thought he was going to be a...

Could have gone further.

Lost to Melbourne because Gehrig attempted one of his weird run round the man on the mark things and injured his ankle.

Shocking umpiring today, but a real test for the boys and they rose above it. Marvellous to see.

Worst ever, of course, was Don Jolley, Victoria Park, 1970

Re: Paton v McKenzie

Paton will be a player. I like his willingness to take a risk and open the game up. It doesn't come off every time, but when it does it's well worth the risk. We're a better team with him in the 22. Good summation. I'd agree with that - he does take a few more risks than McKenzie. Hoping his develo...

Re: Can someone teach Gresham to handpass

I know one shouldn't compare sports, and that footy is a multi-skilled game, but this sort of topic always reminds me of a conversation I saw reported by Peter Schwab some years ago, who had recently visited Old Trafford. Schwab: What do you do with players who can't kick? Ferguson: We don't have an...
