Re: Crab watch
Not paying him was never an option - Melbourne wouldn’t take him at full price. We’ve pbly already spent that $250k elsewhere…

Re: RTB finger on the pulse
Will be a big test in Brisbane later in the week. Brisbane are a good team playing terribly in general. Would be a jog scalp for us

Re: Ross Lyon tactics
Seems to me that some coaches figure out a way through this RTB’s plan and some don’t. When they figure it out… we tend to look pretty bad.
That said… I thought RTB put on a master class on Saturday night

Re: Crab watch
Commentary on BF RE Billings is very intense… Everything from him going out of his way to avoid contests, slowing down before he gets to them so avoid competing, refusing to spoil in addition to calls of terrible decision making and poor disposal. Some are suggesting that his re-selection off poor f...

Re: Set Shot Routine solved - for $4
I said in the match thread… it was quite funny to see Ben Long twirl the ball ala Max during his set shots… 2 of which he butchered and third didn’t make the distance

Re: If the shoe had been on the other foot
For mine this is pretty straight forward… The free is either technically there or it’s not. From the footage I saw, there was wrestling and grabbing each way = free kick was TECHNICALLY there one way or the other. So now it becomes a question of if it was too soft or not. Possibly was but that’s the...

Hi everyone, I’ve made edits to this thread due to demand ++ Mod thread for more info Move them to the AE rather than deleting them entirely so it’s not 1984. You can’t move individual posts, which would have been my preference. I’d have had to have moved the whole thread. In fairness… reports for ...

Re: RTB finger on the pulse
It’s quite funny reading the forum for me at the moment, the stuff that is annoying many RE RTB is actually the stuff that used to annoy me 15 years ago: Out of form senior players or those injured selected A game plan that looks great when it works and horrendous when it doesn’t Lack of flare That ...

Re: Hunter Clark!
Anybody see the incident near the boundary… don’t know when it was, maybe mid 2nd or 3rd Clark was hovering round the grounded ball and instead of going down to get it right away… he kind of took an extra step and positioned himself in front of it as opposed behind it and then lead with his head dow...

Re: Wilkie
Probably as good as example of a team based, work together model that you’ll find taking nothing away from Wilkie’s performance Completely slowed GC’s ability to move the ball with any degree of fluency, there were players in Bing’s way, little space for him to take advantage of and the occasional t...

Re: Sandy vs GC
What's the knock on Campbell at senior level? No tank? No foot skills? Would have thought by now he could have been tested as a contest tap ruck who follow opposition #1 around the ground freeing up Marshall to float across the f50 arc (dropping Caminetti or Members). Ross mustn't value tappers. Pl...

Re: Which Half Back this week?!
I do think this is a weakness in our style.
The teams that open us up… do it from halfback.
I don’t mind the zoning off but we need to be able to shut down these play makes.
All three of these players were fantastic

Re: 3 veterans are done
Shots on goal not withstanding IMO Long was their only forward that looked dangerous. 10% more good fortune, he had 10 touches, 3 goals and 3-4 goal assists

14 goals between the 2 teams in perfect conditions isn’t a great sign for either Tough high pressure game , great signs for us We shut down a good side and we eked out a win..the way you are whinging I’d leave curly alone I think it’s a sign of how low the bar has fallen that supporters are happy w...
