trade X is my opinion.... he would be so much better if he had the chance at another club straight swap Lovett for X why trade for a similar style player with a poor attitude and less ticker? big fan of X, so disappointing that he can't get his body right. maybe he never will, I hope that's not tru...

Re: 'Go the Mighty....'

St is not an abbreviation of Saint... So our name is not and never has been Saint Kilda !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you'd better inform a large part the media and half the playing list about this! I never noticed people saying Saint Kilda until it was raised as a bug bear on here...now it drives me bonk...

spiral2 i was just comparing him to other players in the draft which have had exactly the same opportunities and have showed more than him. i hope he turns out the best out of all of them but i just don't see that happening. he has performed very well throughout casey this year but could not make o...

Re: 2006 draft

i believe our recruiting staff failed badly in this department as you can see with the picks we had 27 St Kilda Brad Howard 59 St Kilda Jarryd Allen 74 St Kilda Matthew Ferguson i believe this is the part of your OP where you wrote off Allen. maybe you didn't intend it but that's how it reads to me...

Big call from me and one that I will probably live to regret (drum roll), but I have a gut feeling that Josh Hill might turn out to be a bit of a short-lived wonder more than a long-term superstar. I feel that, once opposition defences work out everything that he is able to do, he should be able to...

PS - judging by his game against the saints earlier in the year jarryd morton is nothing to get excited about. of that list Josh Hill is the only one I'm really spewing about. very talented player. westhoff was down year this year after a great debut year in 2007. tippet looked great early in the ye...

Re: 2006 draft

as you can see there are still talented players that are left beyond pick 30. i believe our recruiting staff failed badly in this department as you can see with the picks we had 27 St Kilda Brad Howard 59 St Kilda Jarryd Allen 74 St Kilda Matthew Ferguson so Allen's a dud is he? pretty big call on ...

his kicking seems to have improved too, doesn't look so 'dinky' anymore. used to have quite a lot of loop and air time which would get team mates into trouble at times

could become a very handy player with his run and size.

great game Raph, well done! :D

Blease's stocks are rising fast. He's bottom aged so unlikely to get a run next year. Touted to go early second round, doubt he'll get past melbournes priority pick. He could be a star but he goes missing for long periods too often. I think where we have our pick we'll end up paying too much for hi...

ps - that said I thought some of our players threw themselves into the contest - CJ, Lenny, Milney, Blake, Gwilt at times

just not enough physical pressure, intimidation from the whole team

yeah a few of our younger guys allowed themselves to get intimidated I thought, in particular by Selwood saw him bump Mini and Raph when during breaks in play would catch them unawares when running past, knocked them well off balance and prob gave them a bit of lip. good play from him, getting in th...

Riewoldt got zero assistance from his other forwards today in providing him with space. one of the main reasons for lack of space was the way we moved the ball. too indirect, gave Geelong a chance to flood back. too often we'd have 30+ players in our half when on the attack, whereas geelong would o...

yeah as much as I love harves, he was really bad today, looked slow and weak in the contest. if he was any other player I can't imagine how he'd get picked for next week.

embarrassing day all round

(name, games, finals) Gilbert (36, 0 ) Eddy (10, 0 ) Jones (23, 0 ) good work bergholt! I worry about these three, particularly the bottom two (if they stay in the side). Not slagging them off but skills and decision making aren't their strong points so with the extra pressure of finals it will be ...
