I actually think Jones foot skills are improving! I've been telling all my mates that this Jones kid could be a really good player, but his kick is shithouse! But in the last 2 weeks I reckon his skills are geting better. Go Jonesy! can only recall him missing one target and that was late in 3rd or...

On Jimmy Gwilt's pace - twice he went with Tarrant on long leads and was ball high with him at contest time. He's not slow. He went O.K. Don't write him off. Just wish he the extendos when Ball's handball went wide late in the second. wasn't at the game so can't comment but I saw him trail his man ...

his biggest problem I reckon. not sure you can get away with it in this day and age, he's almost always trailing his man to the ball...makes life very hard when you're a defender

ps - agreed Dennis f.cked up a lot of player names tonight but we were full of new and low profile players, many of whom carry similar hairstyles. if you weren't a saints follower it would be a tough gig. guess it's their job though...
Dennis is funny, I'll cut him some slack

I'm guessing it's players swearing being picked up by the umps mics and then bleeped by the producer. seems to happen when there is a disgruntled player near the ump

Yes and the team discipline was good. With so many young players, it could easily have slipped but the leadership by the senior players was a good influence. I thought McEvoy was the best of the first gamers. He didn't seem lost. He needs to get a bit fitter, but that will come. Eddy wasn't too bad...

I nearly cried with laughter when I saw Mcevoy cop the Sherrin right in the head while leading for the mark. The look on his face and the subsequent expletive was one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life. P.S If anyone gets footage of it, I would love to see it as a .gif. ditto, f'en ...

Armo Eddy Mini All 3 put their head over the footy at every opportunity and refuse to shirk an issue. never a truer word spoken great to see these guys just give it everything. is it so hard to have a total desire to win the footy? what else are you out there for? great passion from some of the sai...

i hope they do target Big Ben, I really don't imagine him taking a backward step, looks like a tough and determined young bloke to me. he might get bashed around and some knees in the ribs but I don't think we'll see him whingeing about it. should also serve to fire up the senior players around him....

I'd like to see Joey put in a forward pocket has got the pace to get out on a lead, can get the ball in close and has the skills to finish. I'd guess he's a better set shot at goal than milney. he can also rotate into the midfield or wing as required. he's sucking arse in the midfield at the mo, so ...

from what I've seen Luke Miles looks quick no facts and figures but looked like he was burning round at training once also does instinctively back himself and run when he gets the ball, which would suggest he thinks he's got some toe :) is Howard actually fast? those final quarters comeback when we piled on 6 and 7 goals against the Lions and Bulldogs might have seemed like pyhrric efforts what a great word! nice to see someone on here with a decent vocab, omg! points off for spelling though, it's pyrrhic according to my shabby research for those w...

At the risk of upsetting everyone again, this is what was basically said at the Saints function at the weekend. Armo has played several senior games in a row. After a while the younger players get knocked around physically and mentally, that is why they drop them back to the Caseys. Because Brisban...
