Re: Would a merger or relocation be such a bad thing

If the Saints merge or relocate I'm out. Me too mate, but it ain't going to happen and the OP has been exposed as a f****** troll. No, just a supporter who isn’t afraid to say that club has had decades of poor management and that I’m skeptical the club can recover. We have yet to recover ...

In fact, I would go as far as to say I think we will be lucky to even bother the scorers.

Re: Rory Lobb

It's interesting with Caminiti going to defence. It probably means he won't be the 2nd ruck option. I reckon if Max King doesn't start crashing packs consistently and if he doesn't show Ross Lyon that he's the number 1 tall rooster in that forward line then Ross will be forced to play him as the 2n...

Re: Has the AFL declared its hand.

Ok, we get it Curly. - AFL instruct umpires to cheat to ensure Collingwood win. - AFL instruct umpires to cheat against Saints every week. - The AFL is corrupt and had a vendetta against the Saints. How many threads do you have to initiate on the topic? Were the threads titled Umpires & Windhag...

Re: Has the AFL declared its hand.

I think the challenge has always been and remains interpretation and constant change. An action in the first 5 minutes of a match will be a free kick and the identical action with 2 minutes to play in a close match is totally ignored. The same incident at different venues and matches is not dealt i...

My brother-in-law is an ex-South Melbourne supporter and now passionate Sydney Swans supporter as are his kids (adults now but you know what I mean) and he even converted my sister. Try telling him or the group he goes to the football with that his team no longer exist. The Swans was a relocation s...

Re: coaches votes -round 14

I have noticed this happening for more than just this season. Our opposition seem to score much heavier on average in the coaches votes. So often we have a narrow loss and our opposition seems to poll all or nearly all the votes it would be interesting to see the stats on this over the past 2 or 3 ...

Re: As much as I loathe them maybe we should throw caution to the wind...

Collingwood has destroyed Melbourne with thug tactics but its crickets in the media. Losing Brayshaw and Petraccia in violent illegal cowardly contests has really put the skids on the Dees. What's the stories: Maynard is a misunderstood lamb and Moore's knee is not as material as Christian's family...

Re: As much as I loathe them maybe we should throw caution to the wind...

I looked at the filth's line up last week. Hardly star studded. Hit by injuries like most of us they elected to play a few newbies through necessity. Sullivan the past 2 weeks Harrison some regular gigs McCrae - been in and out of the side McInnes - ditto Bytel - well he needs no introduction! They...

Re: Windhager 50

I’m with The Dud on this. Watching the game, I felt it was going to be a 50 before it was played. He wasn’t in the marking contest and he ran to completely the wrong spot. They might have directed him to run 5m back to the actual spot, but It was open to them to interpret his action as deliberately...

Re: Windhager 50

Windhager's problem wasn't that he came through the area. It was because he was about 3m in front of where the ball was marked and only took half a step back which made it pretty obvious he was over the mark. I don't think that is paid every time without a warning but he gave the umpire the option ...

The tribunal is not much better, Let Butters off on what was a clear case of striking. He actually punched Greene on the chin.

Re: Has the AFL declared its hand.

I don't understand why the AFL feels the need to come out and publicly clarify contentious calls. There will be mistakes. There will be games decided by free kicks. There are more close games these days. There are more rules and ever shifting interpretations. Live with the decision and move on. Clu...

From the Hun. GAME SENSE It’s almost become a weekly occurrence and we know the AFL will tick it off by the letter of the law but once again an inappropriate 50m penalty has to be called out. 24 frees to 14 and that's just the start of it. 5 frees in a row to start of the 4th quarter after having the 18 Roos players bend over in the 3rd. We wont dwell on the two filth players who ran over the mark with no penalty or the reviewed goal that was clearly touched by a Roo. The AFL is clearly ...

One game does not make a career. But he looks like a footballer, unlike Webster who never did and isn't. Is he capable and willing to learn the art of defence? The next 4 years will tell. The Tasmanians will get AFL assistance to entice all their Tassie players to go home, once they are settingup t...
