Re: What a liabilty Saad is
its round 5 Con's right imho. I agree that Saad should be dropped, not that we can rule a line through his name forever. If he slays the VFL then he comes in again. Also I wouldn't be bringing Minchington in instead, really the last thing we need is another small forward… much rather see more mids ...

Re: What a liabilty Saad is
I would imagine AR is trying to win games so im doubting he is picking players hoping we lose. I wouldn't be staking my house on that. I would think this year is all about draft positions/choices and little else. Rubbish. Obviously he will play young guys that wont be ready to give experience but t...

Re: Saints closer to moving back to Moorabbin
Bitsy Titsy will be crying into her lentils! Who is Big Titsy? Mayor at the time. As someone else pointed out though the real problem was Alabaster not Topsy. So what was Alabaster's problem? He wanted to plant trees in the car park. he was a fool and cost us plenty. You could blame him - clearly m...

I would have to disagree with you on that. 70+ years of misery, failure and being ripped off should make one wary of repeating past mistakes. The Fireman wrote:The JO would have been the best move..best option...damn shame but..never say never.

Out: McCartin (we need to be patient, will be a gun); Shenton; Curren; Schneider & Saad In: Riewoldt (hopefully); Weller; Webster, Acres & Montagna Why would you want to drop Schneider? Well they wont and its silly suggesting it. It will happen but not whilst he is doing better than most. W...

Re: What a liabilty Saad is
He was a gamble at best. As are all rookies... Saad has played some good football at afl level, most draftees never get there... He may not become a consistent afl player, but with our 3rd rookie pick he was worth the risk. Worst case is that Lonie & Sinclair keep him out of the side which is a...

Re: Is Alan Richardson doing a good job?
Does AR just generate any excitment or passion and love for the club? He is obviously a great bloke and very considered, but struggles with his match day coaching! Granted he doesnt have the cattle - but he also needs to considerably improve his selectikn approach and positional moves during match ...

Re: What a liabilty Saad is
Saad played a couple of good games in his first year. None in his second and certainly, from what I hear and read, none this year.
He was a gamble at best.

Re: Longer - Disposals..
Yeah i dropped him in another thread - thought he was ineffectual in the 2nd half - need a ruckman to be able to hurt the opposition offensively which I think Hickey can do moreso than Longer - sure he got a lot of hitouts but to what effect?? Obviously he is learning a will continue to improve but...

Re: Enough is enough
First minute of second half, Geary coughs it up with a short kick out of defence - Carlton Goal Shenton midway through the third goes short to a contested situation 40m out from goal. Shocking decision - result - Carlton goal Lonie kick across goal but kicks too low and the ball is intercepted - Ca...
