Re: Nathan Freeman
Hate to say it but Collingwood have a good midfield. Pendlebury, Swan, Treloar, Adams, Varcoe, Crisp, Greenwood. Not a bad rebuild for a side that played off in a GF in 2011. Thats a 5 year re-build. Only Swan is old in that group, Only Pendles & Treloar are A Graders. Adams is average & ca...

Re: Nathan Freeman
Was reported on BigFooty yesterday that Freeman's medical and fitness test at Seaford went very well. Saints medical & fitness staff were very impressed.

Re: Nat Fyfe I hate you... Or is that you Ross?
Fyfe was a skinny half forward who couldn't hit the side of the barn during his draft year.

Re: Jake Carlisle
surely after WADA, all his worth would be a packet of chips and a dim sim? WADA got nothing same as ASADA had. Now James gone, everything will move forward. WADA’s got plenty actually – more than you can imagine. If I was in St Kilda’s shows I’d go hard on Essendon, technically Ess is trying to off...

Re: Nathan Freeman
Is there any substance to the reports that Collingwood mishandled his injury and we will do a better job at it? It's hard to believe given the resources the Pies have at their disposal. http://magpies.net/nick/bb/viewtopic.php?t=75787 Bill Davoren (who the Filth poached from us) fronted the Filth m...

Re: Trade Rumours
So who is Brian? I can say with confidence we have players on the trade table, does that make me in the know? ;) He was on the money with the Watters sacking and McCartin as our first pick. ....and not so on the money with other predictions like Cameron. To be fair to BS, that was a possibility unt...

Re: Jake Carlisle
I see Carlisle as Wayne Hughes's first real test. We've employed him purely to negotiate with players already in the AFL system. No we didn't. He's a VFL/AFL scout & keeps tabs on players already in the system. It's Ameet & Trout's job to negotiate with the players. Hughes simply ID's them ...

Re: Jake Carlisle
Also depends how highly they value Carlisle. It took 17+37 for Ryder who's 4 years older. Would you trade either of those ruckman plus the pick?.. I would The difference is that Ryder was contracted. Carlisle is out of contract & seemingly desperate to get out of Essendon. I wouldn't trade eith...

Re: HARLEY BENNELL
Reported by Damian Barrett, on the footy show that the Saints are strongly inquiring about Harley Bennell, would be a great pick up , but his attitude is a huge factor, if we were to get him hopefully not another Andrew Lovett! Oh great. Comparing him to Lovett based on his race. Nice start. Why no...

Re: Savage
I see him more like Jason Gram, he had that long range shot on goal that seemed to desert him late career but he has a bit more pace and obviously a lot less baggage. Jason Gram had more height and greater pace - he was one of the quickest players in the AFL, certainly in our side. Shane Savage is ...

Re: Who agrees with this?
When was the club ever offered pick 4 and pick 7 for our pick 1? I thought that the Saints refuted that this offer ever took place. It was 1 & 21 for 4 & 7... so would anyone here trade Paddy & Hugh for at Pickett & Ahern? Yeah Jakey, that would have put us right up with the powerho...

Re: Changes next week
I don't know why anyone would consider Sinclair in the mix to be dropped...he had an instant impact when he came on & can actually hit a target. Eli deserves a decent run at senior level now. He has been great at Sandy for the past month or so in a pure midfield role. He needs a few weeks to ada...

Re: Billings out for the season
Don't be surprised if he's back in 2-3 weeks.
They've just said 4-6 to give Jack the time to recover & not put a tight time frame on a return that will have him pushing it.

Re: Daniel Markworth
If Markworth had suffered from a string of soft tissue injuries or a recurrence of the same injury then I could see why his position on the list could be in jeopardy. But he hasn't. He's had an ACL. A bad hammy tear. And a shoulder reco. Three vastly different injuries (although the hammy may have b...

Good to see more girls getting into the footy media.

Re: Stkilda v GWS ROUND 2 2014
Eli had nerve damage & the prognosis was that it would take most of 2015 for him to get 100% feeling back into his arm. He's significantly ahead of schedule obviously & as Armooo stated, he's also getting tagged in the VFL (which might change now that Sinclair is in the side- hopefully only ...

Spencer Sippa and Markworth prob will be our first 3 delistings at season end. We prob need to turn over around 6 players this year No way will Markworth be delisted. Highly rated by the coaching staff & has attributes that we really need (pace, height & footy ability). Sippos, Simpkin, Sch...

Re: Our Ruck Issue!!!
I thought Billy was pretty good...not his best game but he still impacted a lot of the delivery into the Melb F50 & threw his body into the contest. The issue was when Bruce went into the ruck v Gawn & Gawn (who is 6 foot 10) dominated. Our midfield got blitzed for a good 30 minutes too...ju...

Re: Thoughts on the future of Spencer White
Bit premature to be writing Membrey off. Absolutely. He's only out of the seniors as present as Richo wants to see if Hickey can play as a tall forward. The jury is more out on Hickey as a forward than Membrey. I thought he was very good as a mid sized marking target in his games thus far. He was g...
