Growing up in the 70's and one game sticks out in my mind more than any other. Round 22 against Carlton 1978. We had to beat the blues and we needed Fitzroy to beat Geelong for us to make the finals. We did our bit smashing Carlton but Fitzroy didn't beat Geelong. It was a fantastic game with nearly...

For us to beat Geelong i believe we need a minimum of 12 goals to be kicked by the following four players Riewoldt Kozi Schneider Milne If the rest of the team can come up with 4 to 6 goals then i think with a score of 16 plus goals that should be enough to get us over the line because i think our d...

St.Kilda is like a child.
I've followed the Saints now for over 35 years and have now come to the conclusion that they are my 3 rd child. There are times when they give you great high's and other times you are disappointed in them. But like a child you always love them and you never give up on them.

George Young was indeed a great footballer. He was an absolute great left foot kick.Left at the end of 1978(after 6 seasons) to go back home to WA. This also coincided with the saints dropping down the ladder. 3. Absolute great games he played for us are: 1. 1973 Elimination Final against Essendon. ...

At the end of the day all you have is your health and your family. You just never know when your time is up. Although i don't post very often i get great enjoyment from reading people's opinions about the Saints. Although i may not agree with everything written here at least we all hope for one thin...

And from the early 1980's the following South Australian's Milan Faletic(kicked 5.5 in his first game and didn't do naything after) Geoff Linke (played 2 games i think) Geoff Slattery Daryl Hewitt But my favorite of all time would have to be Enrico Misso who we got from Essendon and played less than...

Lockett would probably be the best player to have ever played for the Saints. Anyone who would change ends after every quarter to follow him would testify to this. Although i never saw Stewart or Baldock play live (except on video) the greatest Saint ever in the last 35 years would be Barker by a sh...

St. dooley , i think the game your dad is referring to is Round 12,1976 against Hawthorn at Princess Park. We were down 9.8.62 to 4.8.32 at half time. Just before half time or just after Paul Callery was knocked out by Gary Colling ,swallowed his tongue and was taken to hospital. At the time we thou...
