5th or 8th could be better than 6th or 7th

Having played around with the ladder predictor POssibly finishing 5th or 8th could be a blessing in disguise. I had StKilda 8th Coll 5th and North 4th which meant Coll 1st week, North 2nd week and not geelong 3rd week. Better side of the draw to avoid Geelong until the Grand Final. Our current form ...

Didn't we go through this last week? Keep playing it...it's a bloody number on a jumper ffs. It has a good history, maybe some of it's magical powers will rub off on the next recipient. Perhaps to many that is the case , but the ability to add more to it exists and as a club they COULD take an oppo...

Lets start a traditional of retiring the jumper for 1 year for each 10 played ( generally will be 1 season) if felt worthy by the club.

It gives time to assess who deserves it or alternatively lets someone start a fresh 2 years later.

There will never be someone worthy of wearing the number 35.

No doubt cost us a major lead against a team that had a history of choking. Possibly a little too far to say cost a Premiership as Brisbane had pulled our pants down 2 weeks earlier. Grand final definitely. Like those geelong supporters who say Nick Davis cost them a premiership - they still had to ...

Heard on SEN this morning that both have realy struggled with family issues this year - understanable. What i did not know is apparently R Clarke has been struggling with the effect of medication he takes / has had to take and this has had an affect on his football. This may explaina few things as h...

We are just an above average team no more

Our ladder position is exactly correct. We are just about average, perhaps a little above. Teams like this are inconsistent, win when perhaps shouldn't lose when perhaps shouldn't but in general beat teams below and lose to teams above. We are overrated by the media and supporters who think we are s...

All FF's are only as good as the delivery , which in recent times has been poor at best. 6 foot 8 athletic and one of the few in the AFL that can actually split a pack to not grow on trees. Aside from being offered J Brown , Buddy which is not going to happen you do not trade him. Perhaps trade thos...

Gwilt is not an AFL player. His decision making is a disgrace - not what to do when he gets the ball, his decision making of when to go and wen not to, and when to zone off his opponent and when not to. Have a look at his goals conceded last night and then number of times his man was involved in a ...

Fooled again

I put my hand up to say once again I was fooled into thinking this side had the mental toughness to challange this season. After the Hawthorn game myself and the media all got sucked in again. There is No excuse for not ocming to play last night. Everyone knew Collingwood were going to come out hard...

Remember Dempsey all time leader and played in year where both umpires awarded votes therefore inflated figures for 1 year. Adjust that and I would think Harves would have to be close to all time leader already

No player in their right mind would play like they did today unless they were instructed to. Not even Melbourne or Fremantle does that. The game against Hawthorn should have taught old negative Rossy that when the players play some flamboyant football we can beat anyone. Yet back we go again to a r...

Why are we surprised

A poor nights sleep lets you think about a lot of stuff, footy being one of them. This type of loss is not unusual for this playing group. Think back - Port in Tas 2005, Freo in Tas Sirengate, Port ( should have lost ) Motlop goal missed, Ess last year... Even WB round 11 2004 The list goes on all g...

Geelong went to Freo and wern't switched on and still managed to win. The difference between very good and mediocer . Just making up the numbers and last weeks win is now worth nothing. typical of this club for the last 20 + years. Start believing the publicity of how good they are when they win a few in a row and then drop a game they shouldn't which ends up costing later in the year.

Classic case of work hard 4 a qtr get 4 goals up against a bad opp and then think they can go through the motions for th next 3 qtrs and get a win. Roo must kick goals, you are only as good as your most recent performance and it stands at 1-3 * should have been 3-1. Dal Santo is in slow mo, M Gardin...

The thing which killed us in 91 was the AFL and the ridiculous final 6 system. 3 v 4 and 5 v 6 . 5 v 6 was Ess v Mebourne both about 3-4 wins behind Geelong and StkIlda.
