GWS have just offically thrown open the Treloar negotiations - means open slather. Saints definately have been talking to his manager. This could be interesting people.

Re: Jake Carlisle
All good on the family front thanks Chook. Getting a bit of info from my son obviously - who is talking to key players in this trade stuff. Yes - a bit of luck needed. But not as much as you might think. Imagine ending trade period with: Treloar, Carlyle and Freeman?? Top 8 next season would be achi...

Re: Congrats Faz
Best overhead mark for a bloke his size I can remember seeing - very courageous too. Very similar to David Grant.
Has put together a very good career at the elite level - played in grand finals - remember he shut down Swan in the drawn GF. Did all he could to get us over the line.
Well played Faz.

Re: Again on the Ruckman
I can still recall then Coach Stan Alves using Rob Harvey to tag the Melbourne Ruckman (Stynes). Alves conceded that Stynes was a much better player around the ground than as a tap ruckman. So Harvs had the job of going with him - it was a classic, Harvs superior fitness helped him absolutely murder...

Re: Leave your tributes here for Kosi - to be printed
Kosi , it will be a sad day indeed to see you hang up the boots. What a spectacular player you were in your prime, very courageous and strong. Beautiful pack mark and a long, accurate kick. You have done what most of us mere mortals can only ever dream about. Played 200 games of AFL footy for a pret...

Jason Blake - a footballer's footballer. Tough, courageous, reliable, resilient. You have gotten everything out of yourself mate. You have given it your all every single week. Trevor Barker would be proud of what you have done and how you went about it. Loyalty personified just like Barks. Well play...

Re: Leave your tributes here for Milney - to be printed
Thankyou Milney. What an exciting player you have been to watch. Yuo can be very proud of what you have done wearing our jumper over the years. You will be remembered as one of the greatest small forwards in VFL /AFL history. Can't do ny better than that. If the ball had of bounced correctly in the ...

Well now Clarky has got me thinking... there is a site where passionate saints go to talk footy??? Spoke to officials yesterday at the family day - I made mention that our pre-season was a tad disappointing. Response I got was a smile and " we are happy, don't worry about the scoreboard. We will have a very strong team for Rd 1 who will be fit and healthy and hungry."

[True. Hmmmm - tough one... Mick Maltshake played in 1 flag, coached 3 flags been a pretty decent old coach over the years. Mr Jake Niall - 0 flags at AFL level, 0 games AFL level, and played footy for Manangatang 3rds was it???? dunno - but personally will go with the views of a bloke who has been ...

Malthouse reckons we will challenge for top 4, Watters will get the team to gel and with our hunger and experience we will be there. Given he has a fair idea of what it takes - I will accept his preview over our online " experts" views. Don't think much of Mick as a bloke - from my distan...

Re: Sandy vs Werribee- Sat 10th
Keep your eyes on young Markworth - he will be a player. Has the ability to dodge and weave out of trouble and he wins the footy - sometimes easily. He did some brilliant stuff today. Sam Dunnell is another beautiful kick of the footy - very much like Siposs. Tom Curren played a blinder today well d...

Makes it even more extraordinary how the AFL just jumped in and ordered that the match was a draw - what the?? Was that a knee-jerk reaction before they actually considered the facts and the ramifications. Just amazing.

Re: Delahunty quote
Don't reckon playing in those conditions would've added much to our preparation in my view. I actuallly think that the shortened intraclub will probably work more to our advantage than having them play a full game under water!!! Think we may come out of this ok - not only with some excellent PR, but...
