Great news!

Hopefully he can come back *almost* home and sign up with Sandy. They could do with his experience

Re: St Kilda vs Port- Where & When will it now be?

Moorabbin still in the mix according to “Stevo” on channel 7. The cynic in me says no chance only becuase they won't be able to compete with the appearance money we will make for playing in Queensland. Probably right. But it is possible to build a few temporary grandstands that hold 20,000 people a...

If Paddy already is not a legal disaster for us if he got on the list again start paying the lawyers big time.

He’s cooked and we need to make settlement and move on.

Re: Our Shanghai fixture

Reality is the AFL know that if the QLD government doesn’t help us recoup the lost money from Shanghai, it would mean an even higher distribution from the AFL to us next year.

That’s what they care about.

If you can, please get to the game. Morwell oval is first class facility and can comfortably cater for around 6000. Remember, this match is a fundraiser with proceeds donated to the Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund (GERF). GERF is genuinely a volunteer-operated organisation with all donations reachi...

Re: Any Coverage of this Week's Game Against Hawks?

It’s utterly ridiculous that it’s not on Foxtel/Kayo. Not so much their fault as the Marsh series is only 2 games per team not 3 which was the case pre AFLX rubbish. Given a few clubs are organising scratch matches it’s a shame we can’t have third Marsh game with shorter quarters, more subs etc - th...

Unique circumstances in the current climate, that a player can come on fresh in the last quarter. But impressive nevertheless. So you’re saying the other players were going half pace making him look fast? Maybe - but he was nonetheless explosive off a few steps. Question is if he can maintain that ...

Re: Reasons for optimism in 2020: St Kilda - Max King

King’s best quality at this stage is his tank and ability to draw opposition players to him - only issue could be is if King can’t actually win the ball or assist teammates from gaining possession.

I’ve lowered my expectations for this season. He’ll be a bit player not a key.

When was the last time a team with HALF the scoring shots of the opponent wins?

This ticketing rubbish last night prob caused the low crowd of 8K which is very poor.

Practice matches with 2 Vic teams should draw at least 12K.

I think a few people didn’t want to do the ticketing thing

Re: Reasons for optimism in 2020: St Kilda - Max King

King is very raw and unfortunately not the fast developing type like Roo was.

His tank is good and he attracts opponents to him which frees up Lonie Gresh and Skunk.

His stand out years will begin from 2022

Hill was the highlight by far. Would love to see working with Hanners and Jones - then we will be a force. Won’t happen. Don’t know what went wrong but there was only 8,100 there last night. Plenty of space in the outer. Maybe the ticketed bit turned people off. It’s fantastic as a practice match and AFLW venue. Would cost a fortune to build the stands and infrastructure needed. The AFL own us. They give...
