There was a closed training session today with the squad being divided up into 3 teams of 12 playing against each other. For what it's worth apparently, Michael Gardiner dominated the hit outs and around the ground against King as well as Rix dominating against King.

The first trade rumor that I am happy about, would be a great acquisition. However i strongly doubt we are going to get him as he is still contracted and apparently doesn't want to leave, so in other words deal won't get done

Re: Mark Williams ... got it on good authority that his knees are stuffed (aka Aaron Hamill) and there is doubt over whether he can continue his career. So I wouldn't be going near that one ... I dont know what his knees are like (other than the fact that he did his knee this year) but just bear in...

Assuming everyone is fit for round 1 (and we don't gain/lose any big players), I would like to see the team line up like this B: S.Fisher, Hudghton, R.Clarke HB: Gram, Maguire, Gilbert C: Fiora, Hayes, Montagna HF: Goddard, Riewoldt, Geary F: X.Clarke, Koschitzke, Milne Foll: Gardiner, Ball, Dal Sa...

Would be gutted if Maguire's name even came up...He's just too important. Absolutely. I'm amazed how short people's memories are. Well I am in the short memory class. I would swap pick 9 and either Goose or Montagna for Judd in a heartbeat. Especially given that Ball and Judd could share a doctor a...

I'm severely tempted to delete any post which suggests we should trade a first round pick for Jolly. We need a ruckman, but no more than pick 30 for Jolly. No one should ever trade away their first round pick. Fremantle are a case in point Croad - debacle (lost Hodge) Headland - didnt lose much as ...

I reckon we will make a play for him, but wont land him. Realistically we have nothing to offer Sydney that we would be willing to part with and Carlton/Richmond who would also seriously make a play for him are in a much better position in terms of bargaining power - both from draft picks they could...

pardon my ignorance, but could somebody explain to me how we finished eigth last year and had pick 9 and we finished 9th this year and still have pick 9, obviously it has something to do with priority picks, but wasnt Gibbs a priority pick last year?

Shannon Byrnes from Geelong. Seems to have fallen out of favor, due to the development on Stokes and Varcoe. Has real dash and can snag a few. Eddie Sansbury has been playing in the twos all year same sort of player, although he kicked 5 yesterday against the doggies so i doubt the Roos would want t...

Agreed .... to the point that i was moved to join this forum just to get behind raph. The guy didnt play for a year and a half because of a serious back injury which could have ended his career before it got started. he has played 5 or so games this year and showed consistent improvement in all thos...
