Re: Neil Roberts

Yeah top bloke. I met him at Etihad in 2003, when the Saints beat Adelaide in Rd 2. My mates dad, Harold Davies, played with Neil in the fifties, before injury cut his career short. Harold had passed away in September 02, and this game was an armband game for H and a couple of other Saints who had ...

I really hope that the team and coaching staff are treating this as just another game that we need to win and not carrying on like jilted teenagers.

Why is the ladder good news?

We've beaten teams 15 and 16 and lost to team 12.

Re: Dal - Mr Consistency

Are you sure about those stats? According to AFL tables he missed the second Collingwood game in 2010. Sam Gilbert has played 57 in a row. Agree with everything else. Expectations are so high with Dal that he does something freaky and nobody really notices. That left foot banana goal under a heap of...

What are the chances that combining all the factors of Ross gone, Luke out of contract at the pies and recovering from a knee, that we can get him back at the saints?? In hindsight this might be a childish post, but i have literally never gotten over his departure. I loved him after his first few g...

Loved his mark and goal tonight. My highlight of the night.

I also loved his commitment to running through the lines and trying to play on when he had the ball a couple of times at 60m.

Dogs couldn't get the ball out of our forward 50 and it only eventually came out because we scored a goal.
I haven't seen some of that frontal pressure since the halcyon days of Eddy and McQualter.

Mods, time to move this to the opposition forum. Saints supporters telling other Saints supporters how they have to react to an opposition player. It's like the Brad Johnson thread all over again. Not doing that at all. Asdking Saints supporters to be a little better than Filth/Essendon fans....sur...

I would never wish injury on any player. But of all the players it could happen to, I am least upset about it being Bail. And well done to the Collingwood medical / fitness staff. Re: Would the referral system alter the Tom Hawkins debacle?

The Hawkins decision would have been overturned as replays before the ball being bounced were so obvious. The system is better than none at all but like the cricket will not be perfect. If 10 decisions were wrong last year and then it drops to 5 then surely it is better than none. I'm not sure the ...

Port's first goal last week was never looked at despite it looking just as touched as the Goddard shot tonight. Fisher claimed he touched it but they never reviewed it. Lucky it wasn't a close game!
