It’s official. The Saints are pointless
Channel 9 yesterday on Pointless. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20221006/fc95518d2bb364835f362c0a2f79075f.jpg Out of 100 people in the UK, not one could name St Kilda as a place name in the AFL. Although the first word out of the contestant’s mouth was St Kilda. The good news is Collingwood, Carl...

Re: The Ben Long Deal
Wow. Can’t help but feel we got dicked in this deal. Pick 32 is essentially a worthless pick. Not worthless at all, But would be good to bundle up with a future second for another first rounder? 30 years of data would suggest there is no correlation with picks after 24 in the draft and delayed succ...

Re: The Ben Long Deal
Saints get pick 32 worth 584 points but give up 2023 4th round pick 67 worth 69 points at present. So 584 - 69 = 515 points that's between pick 35 and 36. PIck 69 could end up as a throw away so I like moving up the draft order a few places to 32. But with father-son picks in play it is hard to say...

Nobody's mentioned this... Saints' official twitter says 'The club welcomes Carl Dilena' as the new Chief Operating Officer. He was CEO or something at Norf. Not sure why we got this fella, not sure what the role entails http://saintsational.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=104994&p=1977312&hili...

Re: Noble discusses Saints review.
It’s not the review. It’s not a club statement about the review. David Noble is one of the hosts on Trade Radio, he wasn’t there to talk about the review, and it would be inappropriate for him to reveal any details. https://twitter.com/traderadio/status/1575029468938182658?s=21&t=9eSytCRneJ6nQUO...

Re: Noble discusses Saints review.
Former North Melbourne coach David Noble has discussed his involvement in St Kilda's post-season review. Noble assisted the Saints in their review of 2022, which ended in disappointing fashion as they missed the finals. "I think they wanted to challenge themselves, where they were at," he...

Kings’ birthday blockbuster
Now that there is no Queen’s Birthday holiday Collingwood and Melbourne should lose their monopoly on the day and there’s an opportunity for a Kings’ birthday blockbuster. First move the holiday to on or about July 7. The Kings’ actual birthday. Second, move the apostrophe. Important for the pedants...

. A football match is always analyzed at the final siren, not on the first half. Or it could be analysed based on some made up stuff about underdone players and others missing. https://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/2022/091520220514.html Is that the best you can come back with? :) Stick to my point...

They were Hugh Goddard - first round slider For a soft, lazy, inconsistent tall We thought Pick 21 for Stanley was overs and when we snared Goddard!… we thought we’d won the lottery!!! Short memory? Goddard played 10 average games Stanley nearly 200 and a premiership Are you talking about Stanley o...

Re: Hickledik having a mare
Weren’t the Saints the last team to beat Geelong? That’s something I guess. Study Geelong's starting 22 on the day though. :) Pretty much the same as today. It was the game at Geelong where they rested players. We lost Higgins early and Steele did his shoulder in the 3rd I think. I recall Dangerfie...
