It was an interesting tactic, and one I hadn't noticed in other games. It's like Carlton had noticed St Kilda players take maximum time up to and after the umpire calls play on. And they exploited it. Prior opportunity is not an issue as the player has had potentially 30 seconds to get rid of it be...

People seem to think footy is played the way it was 15 years ago. You don't just put a guy at FF and let him play it the way he sees fit. You have a team of forwards, each playing a role. they need to link in woth the mids and even the defence. Putting Gwilt at FF isn't a fix. Rotating anyone throu...

I'm not only concerned about our over reliance on our very best player (or best players) to win... but players full stop. As we saw last night, even if they take to the field and a bad night, we lose... I think we need to develop a game plan that will address this, and which will ideally allow us t...

My retort is 'I dont think StKilda have set out to put all of their eggs in one basket' I think all supporters and coaching staff would agree that it would be nice to have more reliable ways to goal. However, we dont seem to, but I dont think this has been through lack of trying to develop such ave...

And to be a bit more clear about what I was trying to communicate. You have put forward a hypothetical ideal 'would we be better off with less reliance on Roo', and have presented it in terms of the question ' have we put all of our eggs in on basket' My retort is 'I dont think StKilda have set out ...

Do you think we should have asked him to stop being such a good player. Or passed to players who wernt putting themselves in as good a position, just so we didnt pass to him? No, you're right. Play through him constantly and create no alternative......then hope like hell he doesn't get hurt. No nee...

I dont think we rolled the dice. We just havent had an alternative...and obviously still dont. I sort of dont understand the question. Which is more reason why Dals performance was even worse, and Raphs more commendable.

Raphs skills were well down tonight. But at least he showed some guts and perseverance.

so let me ask you this ..... say we win by a kick in a slogfest where it is again a low scoring high possesion game would you say we are in a slump at equal top on the ladder ?? Sorry st_Trav, but it's not as black or white as looking at the ladder after 7 rounds. I agree with Trav I think i...

At this point in the year being equal top is all that matters...form/skill to go with the guts and determination well if we dont improve that by the end of the year it might be time to worry. not at week 7 and equal top of the ladder. And its only Carlton....one or two players will show up we only n...

Source: Footy Classified (not total conversation due to Forum Rules but the second GT quote is word for word) GT: Him (Kosi) and McEvoy in the ruck is the answer I believe.. The question is what is it the answer to? St Kilda already have a good ruck division, and we already have depth in the ruck. ...

I don't think he wanted to say anything at all, seemed uncomfortable the entire time the focus was on St Kilda. Sad he has to whore himself to the media. I once thought he was a man of integrity. Really some of you Footy Fans take this whole AFL thing too seriously. I find it a bit embarrassing that a grown man would let a game so seriously to effect their sleep.

One last thing...How far has pandering to stars got StKilda in the past?

Also how much did previous coaches get from the non star players by calling them crabs and treating them differently.

I think all St Kilda players now play with pride and belonging....not just the in crowd.

Look cut the bloke some slack. He obviously has some self esteem issues. He didnt feel wanted so he left for a fresh start. As for the comment about treating him like Leigh Fisher, Gwilt, Eddy...do you think the club should treat them differently? That is pathetic, and even if the thought was burrie...

I can believe that the Saints have a marginally better set up than the Dockers. But "I'm impressed at the professionalism of my new club and the dedication of my new team mates" is also just one of those cliches you get in interviews. I'd really love one day to hear a player say something...
